Story of how it all started:

It started when I factory reset my laptop due to tons of junk and wanted a new start. It was originally

windows 10 although after the reset it made me go back windows 8.1. So then I went and downloaded windows 10 and installed it.

Then when I got my games installed I could not Change the resolution. I was stuck at 1080p and 64hz refresh rate some how. This has never happened to me. Searched online for solutions and said to update my display adapter drives in device manager. When I checked the display adapters it said Microsoft basic display adapter, this is weird since I normally would see something like intel hd 4000. So then I deleted Microsoft basic display adapter and went ahead to look for legacy drives and download one for intel hd 4000. In the process of doing this it made me restart and when it finally started loading into the usual ASUS logo it started to say attempting to repair. Here is the problem:

Basically I'm here at a point where I'm not able to repair my laptop since it doesn't not do anything. I can't reset or factory reset although it reaches up to the point where it says installing windows although my laptop starts restarting on its own for no reason. Which prevents me from resetting the laptop. I can go in safe mode and also open command prompt. That's pretty much all.

Sorry for the long post but I have spent the whole day trying to fix this and I'm exhausted please put some solutions as I'm willing to try. I use an ASUS Taichi 31. Windows 8.1 or 8 originally came with the machine and no USB or DVD with windows installation that I know of.
