Can someone at MS please do something about the crazy Windows 10 update protocols?

I am completely pissed off with MS's approach to updating the W10 operating system. The prolonged periods the system is unusable is just plain unacceptable.

 

 

Again today; the box rebooted at the behest of the stupid updater, without warning. TWENTY BLOODY MINUTES of shutting down "Please dont turn off your computer" and another 10 minutes on reboot while the OS reconfigured itself. All up, the computer was out of action of thirty minutes.

 

 

If I didn't have customers on windows I'd give it up.

 

 

MS, please fix this. It can't be that hard, surely? Linux has been doing it for years.
