My new computer (not this one) doesn not have a cd-rom (the place where you place disks to run them).

So I got a external one with a usb plug on it. Tried to run my windows installation disk. Everything went fine, but after I chose my language and pressed "Install now'' it popped up that im missing drivers or something. And when I press ''browse'' all I find is a disk called BOOT(X:) or something like that, but I believe that is the new, clean hard drive that the pc came with. I'm guessing the BOOT isnt my external disk, thats why it doesnt find the drivers.

Please help.
