Windows freezs when left.

I had Windows 8.1. but now i upgrade it to windows 10 for this freezing issue. But the issue is still the same. System is working fine when i use it continuously but it freezes when left idle. When the system freeze nothing works. Only mouse pointer moves. and all active window goes to non responsive mode. even the Power option shot cut not works with Alt+Ctrl+Dlt and also task manager not open. event manager just showing that Cortana is not working perfectly. how should i resolve it. please help.
