Windows 10 upgrade went wrong

Last night (July 16, 2017) I received a notice that an upgrade was ready to be installed. I accepted it and it proceeded to install the update/upgrade. It took a very long time but when the installation was completed the laptop re-started but the opening screen after I log in with my password just keeps on flashing on and off. I cannot use the laptop at all. I am sending this message using my work laptop. Please can you advise me. Thank you
