windows 10 Windows 10 WiFi error - The remote device or resource won't accept the connection

Hi everyone, I have researched this a lot but still not been able to fix it.

 

 

My wife gets this error on her laptop when trying to connect to our broadband over wifi at home.

 

 

I have been able to connect via wifi to her mobile phone and use that data connection to access the internet.

 

 

However I have other devices that are connecting to the home broadband without an issue - I am sending this message through my MacBook Pro. My mobile phone also connects, it is just her Windows 10 laptop that won't, and when I troubleshoot the connection I get that error - The remote device or resource won't accept the connection.

 

 

I've tried rolling back to a previous restore point, I have tried updating the driver, I have tried resetting the IP configuration in the command window. Oddly, I can successfully ping the default gateway, so this could be an issue with the ISP or the router they have provided - except my other devices can connect.

 

 

So I am stumped and thought I'd share this with you all to see if you can help :)
