WIn 10 CRASHES

I logged onto my laptop to open win 10 and everything looked different. The screen flashed and only showed a few icons. I was able to get onto the internet, however after a while the desktop just disappeared. I have obviously been attacked by a virus because I had bought a stupid iobit maleware program that had expired without any warning at all. I should have just left windows defender on. Anyway, an error would come up saying hard error or something like that. I have no apps or anything. So far the only thing getting back on my pc are some of the free iobit programs. A little too late for that. Anyway, I tried to recover by hitting F8, & F 11 or F12 to no avail. Please anyone out there tell me how I can recover from this mess, please, please, help me. I would take a screen shot but I think most people know what a blank screen looks like.
