Need to fix generic malware problem

I mistakenly visited a russian based website. As soon as the website opened, some file got downloaded because of which my antivirus is constantly reporting presence of "EE. Generic Malware". the antivirus keeps deleting the generic malware file from my PC automatically but the file re-appears every few minutes (every 5 minutes or so). the Anti-virus also keeps reporting that my PC is connecting to the russian website again and again even though the browser is closed. i need to remove the malware permanently nd stop it from re-appearing. I am currently using Quick Heal Total Security Licensed. Someone kindly assist me in removing the malware permanently.
