New windows 10 ASUS laptop won't detect my old second monitor. It's an old Planar model without HDMI, so I'm using an HDMI to DVI to connect them. It wouldn't detect the monitor at first, so I updated the driver as other posts here have suggested. It worked until my laptop went to sleep mode, then wouldn't detect it again. I rolled back the driver and it worked it again. Quit working again when the computer went to sleep. So it doesn't seem like the driver itself is the problem; it's like it only can detect the monitor when the driver changes. Any ideas? Would prefer not to have to update/rollback the dirver everytime shutdown or sleep the computer. Thanks!
