Problem typing special characters using Alt+NumPad codes

Hello,

 

I'm on 1703 Insider Preview build, and since the update I can't type Alt+NumPad codes for special characters in most of the programs that I'm using… Funny thing is that this Alt+133 (ellipsis), and others I tried works here in Edge (from where I'm posting), but none work in programs that have "| File | Edit | … | Help |" menu bar, which seems to take over focus as soon as I press Alt, not allowing content area of the window to 'catch' the code.

 

 

Anyone experiencing similar issues, and have you had any luck finding solution?
