windows 7 keyboard not working at certain screens.

The power went out yesterday when I was booting my windows 7. A black screen with 2 options now comes up, do a repair or start windows normally. It said if power was interrupted while booting to select start windows normally. The problem is, when I'm on that screen, the keyboard doesn't respond. There is a 30s timer to automatically go to the repair option. When that screen comes up with a window named startup repair, the keyboard works. So basically I'm in an endless loop of this because the keyboard wont work when it's on the black repair screen. how can i select start windows normally?
