windows 7 No Win7 Updates after Win10 rollback

->How can I resume getting Win7 maintenance?

 

My Windows Update has not flagged or applied any Win7 maintenance since I rolled back from Win10 trial.

 

(Because vendor, ASUS, declined Win10 driver support)

 

However, MS Office continued to receive maintenance until 08/2016.

 

The upgrade appeared successful. The rollback appeared successful.

 

After a few months, I noticed there was no Windows Update activity for Win7.

 

Several manual searches for updates were never-ending. Web blogs suggested WinUpd performance issues have been resolved, so I retried and found that the search still is never-ending and just "goes away quietly". I see no App/SysLog entries for Warn/Crit/Err.

 

This is a Win7/Starter OpSys with all maintenance, current to the point of the Win10 upgrade.
