PROBLEM

Laptop periodically BSODs. Stop code: CRITICAL PROCESS DIED. After the counter for error collection hits 100% the computer attempts to reboot and then I get the Dell SupportAssist message "Hard Drive - Not Installed". I manually power off and power back on and the computer restarts normally and functions until the next crash. Despite the error information collecting message on the blue screen, there are no dumps, mini or otherwise, on the computer after the crash. I assume that this is related to the erroneous "Hard Drive - Not Installed" message; I think it can't save the dump because it lost track of the hard drive.

STEPS TAKEN

I set verifier to "Create Standard Settings" and "Automatically select all drivers installed on this computer".

The system blue screened with stop code: DRIVER VERIFIER DMA VIOLATION.

The minidump points to ntoskrnl.exe+14f960. I don't know how to take this any further to determine the failing driver.

The link to the dump and the output of System info are located at:

REQUEST

Can someone explain to me how I can find the actual failing driver from the above information?

Thank you. David
