Multiple Displays on Windows 10

Well lets be strait I have two laptops both connected by both an HDMI cord and an Ethernet cord but when I select Detect in the Display settings of my windows ten it says it didn't detect another display so I tried it on my second computer and still nothing. Pls help I really need it.
