This update installs according MS. However, when the computer starts it arrived at the point of 'Creating the Desktop' at which time the system crashes with blue screen. Restart is only possible by System Restore. This has now happened too many times and so I need to block this update. I deselect the update but MS re-selects it again. It would be nice to let it succeed but I am tired of the constant system reset to a previous state.

 

 

I have a particular question regarding system close down. Here it indicates that the system will be closed after installation of updates. As I have de-selected this offending update I am no longer trusting the normal route of close down .. in fact why is the close down indicating software updates at all?. To repeat there is only 1 update which I have de-selected via Update Control Panel.

 

 

I need to hit'alt, del ,ctrl' to be given an option of pure close down with no software updating.

 

 

If I select the normal close down I may way be faced again with an installation that succeeds but later crashes my system.
