Hello,

 

 

 

 

I have win 7 home 64bit. The other day I nnoticed the desktôp was different while my wife was using the system, Windows had loaded a TEMP profile. Not the end of the world I have dealt with this on a work PC, made a mental note an intended to get to it the next day.

 

 

Booted the computer today and greeted with bsod unmountable boot drive. Ugh.

 

 

Tried f8 and loading repair system, but Windows loads to the blue repair screen, loads môuse cursor..spinning wheel a half minute then nothing.. no freeze, just nothing for eternity.. no way to get to a command prompt.

 

 

Tried all applicable f8 options but of course nô avail.

 

 

Next I brought out my Win 7 64 install dvd. setup BIOS DVD boot order to first, reboot and DVD spins up .. starting Windows... craśh...bsod unmountable boot profile.. ugh... DVD is undamaged, stored in jewel safely for years since original use in this system. Work elsewhere.

 

 

Wife wants me to format it, but ID rather repair it, but seemingly at this point neither is happening.
