2 types of Windows Shell Common Dll :Changing the files extension to one

I found a weird thing that there was 2 Windows Shell Common Dll. One was being shell32.dll and another one was the file extension one (the one that was set in random files extension). I have many files I wanted to set it back to the extension one but how? Need help ASAP. Thank you.
