  2. You can also try a hard reset. Hold the power button for 30 seconds then release. It will reset nvram.
  3. Is the desktop OS used as much? With tablets and phones that are mini computers I don't think that desktops are as popular as they used to be. Microsoft ditched the mobile phone market years ago. Was that a good decision?
  4. Steps to Check Product Key Activation Check the Current Server: If possible, boot into Windows on the DELL PowerEdge T640 (if it’s still installed) and check the activation status: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation. This will show if Windows is activated and provide the product key details. Use Command Prompt: Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following command: slmgr /xpr This will indicate if Windows is activated and whether it's a permanent activation. Contact DELL Support Again: If you can't access the server, consider reaching out to DELL support again. Provide them with the purchase details and ask if they can help verify the product key status based on your purchase record. Check Documentation: Review any documentation or emails related to the purchase. Sometimes, activation details are included in the original paperwork. Using the Key on a New Server: If the key is not activated, you should be able to use it on a new DELL server. However, it's best to confirm this with Microsoft or DELL support, as licensing terms can vary. Consider a Third-party Tool: There are third-party tools that can help you retrieve the product key from the current installation of Windows, if accessible. Next Steps If you find that the key is still available for use, ensure that you have all necessary documentation for activation on the new server.
  5. My account was. I only had one post there, but the account did merge. I used the same email for both accounts.
  6. I'm still saying remove them. They are closed anyway. If someone is still using an old EOL OS they leave themselves open for all sorts of bad stuff.

  8. Try these steps. If they fail post back and I'll take another look. . Microsoft Account If you linked your BitLocker to your Microsoft account, you can find your recovery key by: Visiting the Microsoft recovery key page. Signing in with your Microsoft account. Checking for the recovery key associated with your device. 2. USB Drive If you saved the recovery key to a USB drive, insert the USB drive into your computer and check for a text file containing the key. 3. Printout If you printed the recovery key when setting up BitLocker, check your physical documents for a printed copy. 4. Active Directory If your computer is part of a domain, your IT department may have stored the recovery key in Active Directory. Contact them for assistance. 5. Local Device If you saved the recovery key as a file on your device, search your files for a text document that may contain the key. 6. System Administrator If you are using a work or school computer, reach out to your system administrator for help in retrieving the recovery key. Important Note Keep your recovery key in a safe place to prevent losing access to your encrypted data in the future.
  9. Thinking the same thing. Maybe it's run differently.
  10. Looks like this was done. Congrats on the consolidation. Anymore sites to be added?
  11. Hey Geek! I'm LilGeek. Good to meet you.
  12. They will be able to read our minds. No seriously I think it going to be new virtual reality stuff. They seem to be heading that way with the new Siri.
  13. Sounds like a permissions issue. Check USB permissions. Disable system protection. An update to Java might fix it too.
  14. 16GB is a good start. I would rather it was 32GB.
  15. You can try to erase it again. Or try logging in with your iPhone username and password.
  16. I'm not so sure it would work. How hard will it be to remove the cage that's already there? If you can remove it easily then a hot swap should work.
  17. You should be able to. It looks like the cage would work for that.
  18. I am going to get a Dell Precision 3660 and wondered if it is possible to add a front loading hot swap HDD caddy?? I already have one (but not hot swapable) on my Dell 7010 which won't run W11 properly whih I use for master backup disks of 4TB each. The front loading HDDs are really usefull and mean I can change them over in an instant - and also use by spare 1tb HDDs for off line storage of emails etc for my kids and theri unit projects. I like the 3660 as it has three m2 ssd slots as well as internal drive Sata bays which I intend to make use of as well.
  19. I tried to play Netflix and Youtube videos but i can play either, tried Reinstalling netflix too.
  20. hi, i’m trying to log into my old icloud account because i wanna see all my old pics. i have my apple id and the password but i don’t have the same phone number anymore 😕 is there any way to get into this account without the phone number? it feels so unfair that even with the id and password i still can’t get into it as there’s lots of memories on there. Thanks in advance
  21. As I further consolidate my tech sites I will; be incorporating Mac Forums into ExTS. The process will begin tomorrow and I hope to have it complete by the beginning of next week.
  22. They should have merged.
  23. I'm a member there. Not as good as it used to be. Still a great resource.
  24. Is this also your site? If it is why not make it part of this community?
  25. I'll agree with that. Very knowledgeable.
  26. You're welcome.
