-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -= purpose in publicizing. it; censorship in uk.* newsgroups -= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= The postings to uk.misc newsgroup generated a. very defensive reaction from Usenet readers in the UK. So much so,. that they tried strenuously to suppress what was being said,. both by breaking the rules of netiquette in their responses on the forum, and directly by action to. revoke the account from which the postings were. issued. MI5-Persecution: MI5 are Afraid to Admit Theyre Behind the Persecution (27111)
by Guest MI5-Victim@mi5.gov.uk- 0 replies

MI5 are Afraid to Admit They're Behind the Persecution MI5 have issued a formal denial of any involvement in my life to the Security Service Tribunal, as you might expect them to; but, more importantly, the persecutors have never denied that theyre from the Security Service, despite several years of accusations from my corner on usenet and in faxed articles. I am not surprised that the Security Service Tribunal found "no determination in your favour". I am however a little surprised that the persecutors have refused to confirm my identification of them; by doing so, they implicitly admit that my guess was right. "No determination in your favour" says the Secu…

MI5-Persecution: Why do you think MI5 are responsible? (3098)
by Guest MI5-Victim@mi5.gov.uk- 0 replies
- 435 views
Why do you think MI5 are responsible? The question of who is ultimately responsible for this eight-year harassment is one which is very difficult to answer, as the persecutors have never clearly made their identities known to the persecutee. However, I believe I am correct in attributing the continuing victimisation to elements of the British Security Service MI5, and in this article, I will try to explain the reasons for this belief. The British internet magazine ".net" featured my website on page 17 of their March 1998 issue (number 42). Their review kindly describes it as an "excellent site" and gives some details of what the net surfer will find there. S…

Mouse cursor sticks
by Guest John Gonser- 0 replies
As I move the cursor across a page (using the mouse) it sticks on the edge of some fields and won't allow me to move the cursor across the field. I can defeat this by either very rapidly moving the cursor or by approaching the desired field from another direction. I haven't found anything in my settings that should cause this. The condition is most dramatic when using internet applications. Any suggestions?

I have nt4 sp6 on drive D of a 10gig WD HD but it only sees 8 gigs? Also I have DOS and Win 3.1 on Drive C. Neither of these see the full HD and DOS does not see the cd rom on this 133 packard bell. Now I would like to install the original Win 95. Since my current boot up is dual where I type Win to enter win 3.1, what would be the best way to install this and fix the other issues? thanks mc

Hi, I have an NT server that I want to virtualize. It has a disk that shows as local, but it is mapped from a share on another drive. Does anyone know how to unmap this drive. I have other mapped network drives, but they do not look like this one, they look like normal networked drives. I can send you a screen shot if this doesn't make sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

NT 4 machine hard drive trouble
by Guest Penny- 8 replies

I have an NT 4 machine that suddenly won't boot. I tried repairing the NT installation but the machine doesn't see the hard drive. Does anyone know if it's an option to slave the hard drive to another machine with a different OS to attempt to get files off of it? I don't have another NT machine available. Then there's running chkdsk I've got a windows 2000 machine I can slave it too, would that work?

NT4 Need Help stopping Win Setup
by Guest DMKaron- 0 replies

I am trying to solve a problem caused by a former employee who tried to install new printer and/or network drivers on to an NT4 system. When the system powers up, it immediately restarts the Windows setup routine and does not respond to user input (even ctrl-alt-del). I've tried to delete (off-line) "RunOnce" registry values in HKLM\software\microsoft\windows, but that did not help. Anyone know what else to do? Thanks

re earlier thread i checked my win-NT4 NTFS version (i never did service pack 4; just 3,5,6a) http://thinkpads.com/WinXP_Comments1.htm (instructions for using dskprobe to determine NTFS version - makes brain surgery or rocket science seem trivial) 2nd line after the 70 line was 01 02 so my NTFS is still 1.2 ?? these might help? Problem on schedule.
by Guest Mr. X.- 0 replies
Hello. I am using windows schedules. For some reasons one of the schedule stopped running. I was since there was a fix of summer-time (from 12:30am to 1:30am) at the same minute the schedule runs (it runs at each minute). The schedule stopped running and I think it's due the above problem. Does the schedule always write on queue or something simmiliar to queue : what is the next time running ? Is that true ? If it is done so, then when there is a problem, the schedule stops running forever, because there is no schedule to write "what is the next time running". Is there any way to overcome the problem ? Thanks :)

Program failure with SRVANY.exe
by Guest Laura- 0 replies
I have used SRVANY.exe to run the rmiregistry and a java program as a window service. However, if either of these services terminate (the registry or java program) then srvany does not pick up on it and the service does not restart. I have the service properties set to "restart on service failure". I tried to set up the two programs as individual services with one service having a dependency on those two. Nothing has worked so far. Anyone have any ideas?
