I was typing a document. When I went to print it it said 'do you want to replace it with this one "and I said" yes" Now the problem is it was not the right part of the document. I seem to have lost the one I just worked on for 2 days. It went back to an earlier version. I need to know how to get the one I just finished back? -- sandraman

hi I have windows xp home edition 2002 I have just installed a game for my son named "Cars". The installation went normal, but when we try to play we get a message that says "Cars.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". Then it asks me if I want to send an error report to microsoft. I've been down to my brother's place and the game installed and played perfectly down there. Can anyone help? My kids are driving me nuts with questions I don't know the answer to.... Many thanks Matt

values for Windows version (dwMajorVersion, wServicePackMajor stuff)
by Guest crystal160@gmail.com- 13 replies

i am working with these, dwMajorVersion dwMinorVersion dwBuildNumber dwPlatformId wServicePackMajor wServicePackMinor 1) So, dwMinorVersion (1) could only be Windows XP and dwMajorVersion (6) could only be Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008? 2) So, if I had dwMinorVersion (1) and wServicePackMajor (1) that could only be Windows XP SP1? 3) So, if I had dwMinorVersion (1) and wServicePackMajor (2) that could only be Windows XP SP2? 4) Would dwMajorVersion (6) and wServicePackMajor (1) be possible? Thank you. I am hoping these scattered questions will help me understand this. Crystal

R-click on G drive reboots computer....
by Guest Janetb- 0 replies

Since replacing 2KPro with XP Pro, r-clicking on my G:/ drive ( either the shortcut icon on my ZDesktop or in Windows explorer) reboots the computer! Further, when I try to delete the shortcut to the drive from my Desktop, the same thing happens--the computer reboots. This is the only drive which developed this problem. The G:/ drive is a Zio card reader/writer. R-clicking on it used to give me the Safe-eject option when I had 2KPro. Now it gives no menu but rather reboots. When I then changed the G:/ drive to one of my external hard drives to test, it gave the same problem. Now the G:/ drive is back to the card reader. I have a Safely Remove Har…

OT but Important: Usenet Abuse and Impersonation by a sick individual using IP address 86.60.253.104 Hi: To all respective forum readers, please take notice: 1) First of all, my apologies for such a wide off-topic cross- posting. It's unusual, and very frowned upon. But I deem it necessary in lieu of recent events. You can just disregard if you will. 2) There is a user on the net who has impersonated "Don Klipstein", me, as well as other respectable Usenet posters. He/she is using our names, email addresses, and profiles to post nonsense on Usenet newsgroups. This impersonator seems to be located either in Burma or Korea and has the IP address of 86.…

Another problem is Windows update tells me my computer needs to be updated and when I click to update it then tells me that one update can not be completed. What can I do to install the update that's not loading?
