Re: Active X entries I am running Windows XP SP# with Internet 7 . I started having problems when I recently installed Internet 7. Windows will not open most of the time. I have Norton System Works with GO Back and using that I can go back a day or so and open the windows. The problem is an Invalid ActiveX/Com Entry. If I correct the entry before signing off, I can reboot just fine. If I forget I cannot reboot. Norton gives me the following error: Missing or Invalid Key:"AtWorkRendering\shell\PrintTo\Command"...The key "AtWorkRendering\shell\PrintTo\command," refers to an invalid command entry "C:\Documents and Settings\Ann\Application Data\Aim\…

Manual setting of IP number on home LAN
by Guest Bob M- 6 replies

I did this on earlier W98 computers. It is helpful if you have a small home network, where some computers are asleep a good part of the time. The automatic assignment gets messed up in these cases, requiring xtra rebooting. How do I setup a fixed address for my XP computer? TIA. ----------- notbob-m1211@sbcglobal.net Remove "not" for return address.

I get this notice during startup: "ybrwicon.exe - unable to locate communication. This application failed to start because msvcr70.dll not found. Restarat application." I have no idea what this is. I hit "OK" and everything seems to load up okay, but MS Word is very, very slow in responding and I don't know if it has anything to do with this problem. Can anyone help? Thanks -- The Typist

Hi all, Imagine the frustration when the laptop crashes & you dont know the reason? Well mine's been happening a lot lately, atleast twice a day. It is going to be a long post as I have tried as much as I could without taking the laptop apart. So please provide suggestions after reading through the full post. Thank you. My specs are: AMD sempron 2800 512 MB RAM Combo drive 40 Gb hard disk etc etc. The problem is, without warning, the laptop just POWERS OFF. It does NOT shut down. Its like somebody suddenly removed the power to the laptop as I mostly use the laptop without the battery. Initially I thought it could be a power issue. But then I saw that…
