Hi: I have posted this problem once before, but not including additional Newsgroups.I reformatted my computer and reinstalled Money 2003 from MS Works Suite 2003 and now I can no longer sign-in to Money 2003. I get an Error that says: "The password that you entered is incorrect. Please try again." I can sign on to all of my other MS .Net Passport applications requiring this password i.e. MSN Explorer, Hotmail, MSN Messenger etc with no problem. Apparently this was a MS problem with this application since its inception as an extract from the original installation file readme.txt reads as follows: ************************** 32: Money Is Unable to…

by Guest Robert Church- 2 replies

A friend of mine has used the FAST wizard to attempt to transfer files from an old to a new hard drive in his laptop. He failed to make any other backups of his important files and thought he could rely on the Windows XP FAST program. Now he has reformatted his hard drive, reinstalled Win XP service pack 2 but cannot get FAST to recover any of his files. He tell me he gets "Access Denied" every time he points the software to the folder which is USMT2.UNC with a file called IMG00001.DAT plus a file called "status" in it He has tried the Fastconv Extraction Tool without any success - has anyone any ideas - BTW he has 2 separate FAST files made on different dat…

Ipod Won't work and Apple says it is an INS Driver Issue
by Guest minlex- 3 replies
I can not get my new iPod Nano to work, and after working with Apple for a long time, they said it is a Windows issue and to talk to Microsoft about updating my INS drivers. The computer finds the Ipod but thinks it is a hard disk or something, and iTunes doesn't recognize it. I did notice that in Device Manager under Universal Serial Bus Controllers the Ipod isn't there. It is under a different section called Unknown along with my USB printer and 8-1 reader. I don't know how to move the Ipod to the USB controllers section. Any help would be Appreciated.

Non-destructive recovery
by Guest shoyt16- 1 reply

I did a non-destructive hardware recovery to clean up the pc. Now I cannot delete the old file created by the recovery. I recently was plagued by a virus and did another recovery to erase all files on my drive. The old file from the original non-destructive recovery was still ther and this is wheree all the virus problems are located. How can I remove this file? Everytime I try it gives me some kind of error saying "can't find file associated with"...or "in use "... Hope you can help.

Need to reset both BIOS and Administrator passwords
by Guest John Reece- 14 replies

Greetings, The situation is as follows: A malevolent employee has left and locked down an important non-networked computer (Dell Optiplex) that we require access to. He has: 1. Reset the local Administrator password. 2. Put an Admin password on the BIOS so that we can't alter the boot sequence and use one of the standard password re-setting tools, all of which require booting from CD, USB or floppy. 3. Padlocked (yes, padlocked!) the computer so that it can't be opened without serious hassles in order to fiddle with the password jumpers and/or CMOS battery. So, we need to re-set the BIOS password so that we can change the boot sequence to allow us…
