Over Range with Neat Planar Montor
by Guest MD Marcus- 3 replies

I'm trying to help a friend setup a Planar monitor on an HP desktop. The PC works fine with the old CRT monitor. The Planar was a gift from a relative due to a death in the family, no CD, no instructions. I can boot to safe mode, set resolution, but not refresh rate. Everytime it boots to normal mode, POST is good, XP startup screen is good, then it goes blank with the popup OVER RANGE. I assume that to be Planar's way of saying Out of Range. I can and have gone through all of the on screen settings using the monitor's adjustment options. I don't know what some of those settings should be, like Phase. I can't find anything on Over Range in google …

User Set up
by Guest Paul- 2 replies
I must preface this conversation with the fact that I am maybe an intermediate computer user. That being said. I tried to set up multiple User Accounts on my home PC (running Windows XP). I was orginally set up as the Administrator and then created a User Account for my wife and set up this account with administrator rights and gave it a user name of Erin. The problem I have now is that I only see the Erin user account and the Guest user account and cannot access the orginal user account named Administrator. As a result, I cannot access any of my files, Itunes, etc. Any help guideance would be greatly appreciated.

Finding Old Version of Web Page In Internet Cache
by Guest MSRX92- 8 replies
Back in the old days of Window 95 and 98 there was a way to find stored copies of visited webpages. Is there a way to do this on Windows XP? I am hoping to find a copy of a webpage I visted--I want to see how it looked last week, not today. It has been so long since I've done this, I don't even remember for sure how I did it on 95 & 98. I don't think the files were in the Temporary Internet Files, but somewhere else? I'm thinking they were something weird like an RSS file or something, not an HTML. I'd appreciate any help anyone can give. Thank you.

Wireless Configuration on XP
by Guest 106david- 3 replies

On my Dell Inspiron 6000 with Windows XP, I've had two years of no problem accessing wireless networks -- on startup windows automatically searches for available wireless and cues me from the bottom toolbar. For no apparent reason a few months ago this stopped happening, and when I selected “Choose a wireless network” from the control panel I got an error message: “Windows cannot configure this wireless connection. If you have enabled another program to manage this wireless connection, use that software. If you want Windows to configure this wireless connection, start the Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) service. For information about starting the …
