Verizon Express Card S'ware Blocks WiFi
by Guest Davoud- 1 reply

After installing the s'ware for my Verizon Express Card my WiFi connection does not work; Windows sees my three 802.11 networks, but the Verison software attempts to connect (even though the card is not plugged in) and no attempt is made to connect via my 802.11 network(s). I know of no way to tell the machine to ignore the Verizon s'ware when the card is absent. How can I get the Verizon software to yield to 802.11 when the card is absent? I choose update and get the list. I choose to download. It starts to download then a window pops up that says updates failed to download. I tried turning off the firewall but that did not make any difference. I have XP home, SP2, a dial-up connection to internet which means the downloads should take hours so I know nothing has come in.

WORD PAD QUESTIONS!
by Guest Kenny Lee- 7 replies

In Word Pad can you please tell me how I can set it up so that when I hit the enter button on the keyboard where it will double space itself by going to the next 2 lines on down automatically so that I won't have to hit the enter button twice to do so. I noticed that sometimes it will do it on it's on and I never ever know quite why it's doing that. Can you please explain why it might be doing that on it's on without any interaction on my part without setting it up to do that. Also, I was wondering if you might be able to tell me why this happens as well in Word Pad sometimes. Sometimes when I am typing and I make a mistake and either put the cursor nex…

After not using this PC for 2 months (it has 3 user account set up) when I boot up I get one log in dialogue screen (though I don't think its the normal windows one) with default for the username and a space for a password and nothing else on the screen. I can get in using the administrator password, but I would like to be able to see the three user accounts again
