Anyone know what's happened to the On Folio add-on? When I go to the site I'm told it will be available in a few minutes. This goes on for days! People ask the same question on Windows Gallery, but no one replies. -- Dencandy (Mr Virtuality)

Its been 3 years since I had this COMPAQ EVO N610c laptop and never been in the BIOS. I needed to recently to address memory issues, which I still have. I lived with it as I did not need to for years but now I JUST WANT to in case of emergency. I tried the program downloaded, and burned image to CD-ROM from http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/ with no success. I still can not get into the BIOS. I called Compaq and they were no help. Anyone have any ideas here ?

Hello, Have questions concerning archiving and compressing files. I have unchecked on all drives, folders and sub-folders these options. Each file has these options. Are they needed by Windows XP Home SP3? If not needed can these options be removed en mass from all files? Thank you for your time and input. Take Care. Beamish.

Hi -- I have a new laptop running XP2 SP3. I set the power management option for the screen to blink off after 1 minute, and most of the time nothing happens. Occasionally, it will go dark, as commanded, but even then the screen blinks back on to stay after 1 minute. Totally maddening. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help. -- David

An MS moment: can my system be moved from HD to HD?
by Guest Need a miracle- 8 replies

Hi: I recently averted disaster when the hard drive containing my operating system got sizzled in a power surge. Thanks to Testdisk, it is up and running again. But ... I don't trust the drive any more. There are two other HD storage devices on the computer --- a 435 GB RAID 0 system with a barebones sytem on it (thank God I avoided Microsoft's advice about dual operating systems) and another 250GB ATA hard drive. The one that crashed is a 70GB Western Digital deserving of retirement. So, understanding that this is Microsoft, is there a relatively painless way of transfering the system -- with its four years' worth of installations and settings -- …

IE cannot display webpage 1 2
by Guest Joy- 44 replies

I am very frustrated. I've been trying to get onto one website which I've always been able to do and for the last week or so I keep getting this message. I have IE 7 and windows xp and everything is up to date. I run McAfee security suite. I have tried everything on the solutions page except for setting the computer back to the way it was when I bought it. I would rather not do that. I have tried deleting sp 3 and that hasn't helped. I've also tried deleting a couple of the security updates for IE and that hasn't helped. Should I be deleting IE 7 and going back to IE 6? I'm really needing to get onto that site. It is just the one site. I can get…

Hi all. I accidentally check the compress old files in windows native Disk Cleanup software. Now I have a 20% reduction in my system's performance. Is there anyway to uncompress my system32 files & gain back my system's performance without having to format my entire hard drive? Because that is what the IT guy at my job recommended. Some of the system files in use will not accept any uncompression commands from the "Run" window prompt. spent a week trying to undo this. GUYS I NEED HELP!!!!!!!
