Trying to configure a Konica Minolta C352 on a 64 Bit 2003 Server to install onto 32 Bit XP Clients. I have installed a 64 Bit driver for the server but the problem is I cannot install the 32 bit driver as an additional driver on the server so the xp clients can use this printer? Any ideas?

Username and Password greyed out
by Guest Jon- 1 reply

Here's one I've never run across before. I have a Windows 2003/SP2 domain controller that I remotely manage via logmein IT-Reach. The client called and said they couldn't log into the machine locally because the username and password boxes were greyed out. I tried to log in via logmein IT-Reach. I got the same thing. Straight RDP, same thing from both inside and outside the network. I'm not finding much on the net about it. This is the only server on this segment. Running AD, F&P, App, DNS, DHCP. I was hoping someone here has seen this before. The only solution I've found so far is to do a cold-start. TIA Jon

I am looking to put a new Domain Controller onto my network and am looking for advice/tutorials/step by step instructions even to add teh server and transfer all teh jobs from it to the new one i.e. DHCP, DNS etc. I am also looking to put a new Exchange 2007 box in to replace my current Exchange 2003 box. I am looking for specs for the server and for the best method of setting it up and transferring mailboxes etc to it. Once these jobs are both done, I need to completely remove the 2 current servers from teh domain. Again, I need some instructions on this as well. TIA -- ats@jbex All the power's in the hands Of people rich enough to buy it While we w…

Immediate logoff after logon
by Guest skitzsofrenick- 4 replies

Does anyone know why windows 2003 would log off a user right after logon? I thought it may be due to a corrupt profile, so I logged into it for the first time and it happened to me. It only happens via console or RDP. Safe mode is fine. I dont see anything in the event viewer other than some apps that are being shutdown in mid stream due to the logoff. I am having the user check any programs or updates that were installed to compare this to when the server started showing issues. I also checked a chkdisk. Any ideas?

Error code 0x80070035 - The network path was not found

We recently purchased a pair of new servers and installed Windows Web Server 2008 on them. During the initial setup of the servers I was able to copy data back and forth from the existing 2003 Web Edition server and our 2003 R2 file server. Once I had all the data I needed on one of the 2008 servers I put them both on the DMZ and configured them identically. When it was time to transfer the data (C:\inetpub), or even browse, from one server to the other I was unable to do so. As I said before the servers are identical, the same users and shares on each, both are members of a workgroup called DMZ. The error message: Title Bar – Network Error Windo…

Hi Can I assume that the power of an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz is equivalent with four 2.4 GHz CPU? Faster? Slower? It would be great if there is a bench mark that compares a quad core CPU with four SMB CPUs. Thank you, Max
