zone alarm question

I have ZA version 6.1.744.001. When I tried to update to more recent versions I experienced all sorts of problems. This version seems to work well, but I was wondering if there is some compelling reason to abandon it in favor of some other firewall. Any ideas?

MI5-Persecution: Why do you think MI5 are responsible? (2369)
by Guest MI5-Victim@mi5.gov.uk- 20 replies

Why do you think MI5 are responsible? The question of who is ultimately responsible for this eight-year harassment is one which is very difficult to answer, as the persecutors have never clearly made their identities known to the persecutee. However, I believe I am correct in attributing the continuing victimisation to elements of the British Security Service MI5, and in this article, I will try to explain the reasons for this belief. The British internet magazine ".net" featured my website on page 17 of their March 1998 issue (number 42). Their review kindly describes it as an "excellent site" and gives some details of what the net surfer will find there. S…

SUPERAntiSpyware?

Notwithstanding the prolonged scanning time for a complete scan (24.31 min. on my pc) and longer download time for updates, this program in overall performance is worthy of replacing Ad-Aware SE Personal for WinME, IMHO. I would appreciate other views or concurrence, for that matter. Harry.

upgrade?Nvidia AGP8x FX5200 etc.?
by Guest Bob- 0 replies

I am using the GE Force4 MX440 and it works for email, YouTube, and the WinME MovieMaker program still handles our old Sony VX1000 camcorder. Occasionally I crank out small win9x swdev projects mainly with VC++4.0 (yeah, its ancient, like me). On the shelf are DevStudio 5(win98se) and VisualStudio6(NT4). Stuff on the shelf seems to rarely come off the shelf. I thought I should do a little housecleaning and I discovered I also have an unused Kaser FX5200 128 MB Nvidia graphic card. It's box says it has some nice nview Multi-Display capabilities and "TV-out support (NTSC/PAL) TV system". Will it support a decent flatscreen? This homebuilt is on a Gigabyte 7VT6…

Experimenting with Ad-Aware, my right-click function for the desktop went 'out of order'. I can do without, but would like to restore it, if possible. The question is 'how'? My post in the IE browser ng hasn't found any takers yet. Harry.

Reinstalling Windows Me

It sounded like it was too easy!! Successfully reinstalled Windows Me this morning, subsequently taking several hours downloading all the updates. In the process of downloading required utilities, I ran into a memory problem which made no sense. However I have subsequently found out that previous partitions appear to have remained, although they are not recognized in MY COMPUTER. Background: This is a 10 GB Compaq Laptop which is shipped with the O/S on the C: drive and the Recovery System on D:. A couple of years ago, I had created a new partition to house all of my data files., OE Message store, tmp and temp. Currently, MY COMPUTER shows C: at 4.86 GB an…

Runtime to Terminate
by Guest AAH- 4 replies

I tried to install a freeware utility called BurnAwareFree version. Install process was ok. When I clicked the icon to run the program. The answer is bit funny. I never had it like this before. "Program C:\Windows\msiexec.exe. This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way". and it closes down. Any help would be appreciated?
