MI5. Persecution Update: Friday 7 April, 2000 22,544 + 837 =. 23,381 Last weekend I delivered another 837 faxes to politicians. and the media on the subject of the security service conspiracy which has destroyed. my life. This brings the total in the last three years to. at least 23,381. These totals do not include partially delivered. faxes. Some of the recipients of these faxes must. know that what I say is true; and I hope to motivate those people to acknowledge. the reality of the harassment which has followed me for ten. years. It takes much time to transmit these articles, but as OCG MD Simpson-Wells. said to me in 1992, you have to be a good communi…

MI5. Persecution Update: Friday 31 March, 2000 22,544 Faxes Delivered in Three Years,. and Still No Breakthrough In the last three years. I have sent at least 22,544 faxes to recipients in the UK, of which at least 13,974 have. gone to Westminster. Last weekend alone. I sent 832 completed faxes to politicians, the media and various others, on the subject of MI5s. mistreatment of me these last ten years. I believe some of the recipients know of MI5s actions against me in. the last decade; yet they maintain strict. "omerta" in fear of the security services persecution actions. being made public. MI5 Insist that these Faxes must. Continue Between Septembe…

Transformation of files 1 2
by Guest webster72n- 42 replies

At one time or another some data files in my documents folder were 'converted' from their 'original' status to individual JPEG and GIF images and JScript Files, which I would have to 'find an association for'. I am using FoxitReader and AdobeAcrobat 6 interchangeably, could that have caused it? If so, (or if not), what (other) remedy is there? Hoping for a miracle... Harry.

Help, my WinME System Restore has no 'Create a Restore Point' option... I know this is incredibly late to notice but it is true. I see no option to (manually) create a Restore Point. I do get "automatic" creation of restore points usually once a day, occasionally twice, occasionally none. I thought that was a bit odd but it has "worked" for me so far. In thelast 3 months I have used Restore points 3 or 4 times to recover from odd ball system (Near Death Experience) behavior I finally got to checking Andy Rathbone's Microsoft Windows Me For DUMMIES, both volumes, and it is pretty clear that I should. In the first 5 or more years I've been using this comp…

System Restore has a CreateRestore option?
by Guest Bob- 16 replies
I ask (again) because, IMHO, it doesn't make good sense for it not to and Andy Rathbone, in his books Windows Me for Dummies, describes System Restore as having a CreateRestore point as well as an option to select a prior creation. Our WinME computer, working pretty well for eight years now, has no such option or I sure as he!! can't find it.... Another peculiarity was, at first I could not get the Movie Maker to work with our Sony VX1000 camcorder. I got some support from MS which fixed that. And I found one of the Sony Blue Ray RW DVDs worked well with winME although Sony said it shouldn't. I think a lot of us have seen that kind of good news several t…

Problem reinstalling winME
by Guest mm- 11 replies

Is there something about installing winME that causes it to freeze exactly 10% in to the Copy Files portion of the install. Or is it my harddrive, and what should I do about it? I banged my IBM Thjnkpad 600E laptop really hard, and winME won't start anymore, but DOS will, from a rescue disk**. Whether I should have or not, I ran DOS scandisk for many hours, and until today, kept finding 1 or 2 or 8 clusters that scandisk disabled, although for the last few passes, they were just clusters that it thought ran slow and it expected to fail soon. During all of this, I used a recovery disk to start DOS, and on about 5 occasions then used a legitimate ME update…

New Computer, ME incompatable, XP is only upgrade
by Guest Chronus- 17 replies

In Microsofts great wisdom, they made the XP professional upgrade require windows already be installed. I have a new computer so it started without windows. Not knowing a way around the problem, I installed (or at least tried to) Windows ME. It halts due to a lack of compatable drivers. Restart it and it comes up without the CD (actually DVD) drive. Yes the drive works, its the one Windows ME was installed from. Now I have an extremely limited Windows ME with no way to access the XP professional disk. Anyone know of a work around?

Registry Defragmenters
by Guest O.J. Newman- 22 replies

Hello: There have been a few threads recently on the use of registry cleaners. While some people like them and have not had any bad experiences with them, the consensus seems to be that such tools should be avoided by inexperienced users. I have also seen registry defragmenter utilities available, both as part of commercial software, as well as shareware and freeware. Does the advice to avoid registry cleaners also apply to registry defragmenters - that is to avoid them? Is it best simply to not touch the registry (other than using a tool like System Restore)? Thanks, O.J.

The Problems of Registry Cleaners
by Guest O.J. Newman- 16 replies

Hello: As was discussed in a recent thread here, registry cleaners can do more harm than good. There are 2 recent articles on this topic in the Usenet group "microsoft.public.windowsxp.general" , under the thread subjects of "Which Registry Cleaner" and "reg cleaners". Both reflected the recent postings in this newsgroup to avoid registry cleaners altogether. One post referenced an interesting forum thread at: http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=28099 , which discussed the many problems that such utilities can cause. FYI. Cheers, O.J.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -= harassment at. work -= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Once I stopped watching television and. listening to the radio at the end of 1990, "they" had to. find other ways of committing abuses. So they took what must be for them a tried. and tested route; they get at you by subversion of those. around you. Since they wouldn't be able to do that with my family or friends, that meant getting at people in the. workplace to be their mouthpieces and do their dirty work for. them. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -= why the security. services? -= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= You may ask, why do I think the "they" referred to are. the security services? Is there any evidence that there is a single source, as. opposed to a loosely based. "whispering campaign" amongst many people? Even if there is. a single source, is there any evidence that "they" are professional "buggers" as opposed to amateurs, or perhaps people. working for a privately funded. organization? a) As to the question. of a single source versus something more fragmented; it is quite obvious that there is a single source. from the way the campaign has been carried. ou…
