https://blogs.windows.com/wp-content/uploads/prod/sites/2/2020/03/3ea18088ee8f320469d6ceb7a2871aa3.jpg The past few months have forever changed the way we work, learn and play each day. Our routines have been entirely disrupted, and we’ve had to adapt to new ways to stay productive, entertained and healthy. This change in our global landscape has increased our dependency on technology and highlights the importance of digital accessibility and inclusion – core to how we build products at Microsoft. Microsoft Edge is committed to building a more accessible web for everyone. A little over a year ago, we announced our intention to rebuild Microsoft Edge with the same op…

For the past several years, developers from around the world have gathered here in Seattle, the original “Cloud City,” to meet, exchange ideas, hone or learn skills, build community. This year, we won’t be meeting in person, but the spirit of the event will continue as we move online – and the response we’ve received from our community of developers looking to learn, connect and code at Microsoft Build 2020 has been overwhelming, and quite frankly, humbling. This will likely be our biggest event ever … not just for Build, but for all the events that Microsoft holds. Wow. The title of our show is a fitting mantra to this unprecedented era we find ourselves in: Build. …

Our CEO Satya Nadella references a term from the education field that I think is particularly fitting and important during this unprecedented time in history. Satya talks of the importance of being a “learn-it-all” instead of a “know-it-all.” Learn-it-alls are curious, resourceful and willing to fail, understanding that insights from failure lead to future success. Learn-it-alls see adversity as a challenge to be overcome, and they work toward the future with focus and determination. Right now, we’re all working toward the future in different ways. And the future itself is evolving rapidly as we work and learn together to fight and defeat COVID-19 across the globe. …

Hello Windows Insiders, today we’re releasing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19628 to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. Some Windows Insiders might notice that the name of the branch we’re releasing builds from has changed to MN_RELEASE starting with today’s build. As we mentioned back in December, the Fast ring receives builds directly from this active development branch. In this case, we are practicing our ability to change which branch we consider as the active development branch. This is just a short-term change and we intend to release builds from RS_PRERELEASE again soon. As our engineers work in development cycles internally, we may prioritize work being done…

Three months ago, I took on the role of leading Windows and Devices. What excited me about this was the opportunity to bring together our incredible teams to work on a product that a billion people all over the world rely on every day to work, learn, create and have fun. Hello Windows Insiders! We are continuing to work on getting the Windows 10 May 2020 Update (20H1) ready for release. Today we are releasing Build 19041.208 to Windows Insiders in the Release Preview ring. While we originally thought that Build 19041.207 would be the final build, we made the decision to take in one more fix we felt was important to have before making the May 2020 Update generally available. We believe that Build 19041.208 is the new final build and still plan on continuing to improve the overall experience of the May 2020 Update on customers’ PCs as part of our normal servicing cadence. Build 19041.208 (KB4558244) includes all of the 20H1 features a…

We can’t wait to bring together our community of developers to learn, connect and code together. This will be followed by a session with and for Developers hosted by me (read more on my blog). Here’s a little more of what you can…
