Windows 10 may be “free,” but there’s a price to pay for claiming your no-cost upgrade from Windows 7 or 8: The operating system’s brimming with ads designed to coax you into buying this app or using that Microsoft service. Some of the ads are pretty unobtrusive, to be fair. Several get right up in your face, however—an unfortunate experience in any case, but one that hurts even more if you’ve already dropped $100-plus on a Windows 10 license rather than snagging a free upgrade. Fortunately, most of Windows 10’s ad pushing can be disabled with a few simple menu tweaks, and it’s worth making the effort to do so, since Windows 10 is the best Windows yet…

View File Windows 11 ISO To get started you first need a licence to install Windows 11 or have a Windows 10 device that qualifies for an upgrade to Windows 11. Make sure you have: An internet connection (internet service provider fees may apply). Sufficient data storage available on the computer, USB or external drive you are downloading the .iso file to. A blank DVD disc with at least 8GB (and DVD burner) to create a bootable disc. We recommend using a blank USB or blank DVD, because any content on it will be deleted during installation. I have been asked this a few times, "How do you do a copy and paste?" I will try to make this simple to understand. There are two basic methods of creating the copy in the first place, the first applies if you want to copy all of a document, or page, whether it is a word document, a word pad document, or even a notepad document or a full web page. Click on "edit" then "select all" you will see everything will then be highlighted, go back to "Edit" and click "Copy" everything on that page will now be stored in the clipboard, this is normally hidden, so don't worry about where the clipboard is, next go to the page you wish to paste everything you have copied.…

As I continue with the consolidation of the tech sites in my network of sites I will be importing the data from PC Help Zone into ExTS. This is to further extend the reach of Extreme Tech Support. The end goal is to get the site back to the top where it once was. I truly believe I fractured this community by adding other tech sites. I am in the process of fixing the mistake. During the import the site might slow a bit or might not load for short periods of time. This will be short lived. I will keep you informed at each step. Thanks for understanding.

Schools CCTV camera are viewable by the general public! - So it seems. My intention of this article is to simply make the general public aware of a security risk in the LookC products, by no means should this be used in an unethical way. LookC have been informed of this security issue (before this article was published) and it has been brought to the attention of their “software team who are working on the software in order to fix this ASAP”. The Story: I have recently found a serious vulnerability in a CCTV (LookC.co.uk) server, which appears to be spread across their main two product ranges. The LookC 4x4 server and LookC Pro IX server. After a phone call t…

Here is a list of different shortcuts that you can use in Windows XP, and some work in Vista aswell. They can either be used by clicking on "start", then "Run..." and typing in the command, Or alternatively, open Task Manger with "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Del" or you can use "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "Esc" as a quicker way of ppening Task Manager, click on "File", then "New Task (Run...)" which will bring up a box allowing you to type in the same commands as if it was the Run box. Here is the list, if you find any that do not work, or find ones that are not in the list and should be, feel free to PM me with the title of "XP Shortcut List" Note: Only use these commands if you a…

To install an operating system from a USB thumb drive, follow these general steps. The process may vary slightly depending on the operating system you are installing (e.g., Windows, Linux). Here’s a general guide: Step 1: Prepare the USB Drive Backup Data: Ensure that any important data on the USB drive is backed up, as this process will erase all data on it. Download the OS ISO: For Windows, download the Media Creation Tool from the Microsoft website or the ISO directly.
