Ok so basically, I want a new laptop because but i am torn between getting an air and a pro. At first I was going to get an air because it’s cheaper, but then i spoke with my mentor and she said that airs can crash or be slow when coding. I have only just started learning to code, but I plan to go into computer science, so I imagine in the future I will be doing some heavy coding. For now, I only want to do some light coding, gaming, and editing using AE and plug ins like bcc and sapphire which i know are quite heavy programs. My dad is giving me 1k towards whatever I want to buy, so please help me avoid making the wrong decision, as I am a student without a job so making…

I can't login to Iphone SE
by Guest /u/Old-Strain-7570- 0 replies

When I press the home button the passcode screen shows up for a split second before dissapearing again. When trying to shut off the phone with lock button the screen with the slider shows up for a split second before the screen goes black with a loading cogwheel (not apple logo). I don't know if this is a software issue or if it is hardware. submitted by /u/Old-Strain-7570 [link] [comments]

The image is particularly interesting because it shows no SIM card slot on the side of the iPhone, which would be inline with a CDMA iPhone. There is also a solid frame with no antenna separation like existing iPhone 4 models, which would suggest there is a redesigned antenna in the device. </p> <p>Apple has said the <a …

How to Disable iPad Video Overlay (Picture in Picture)
by Guest Paul Horowitz- 0 replies

The Picture in Picture video mode on iPad is one of the better multitasking features of the device, but some users can find it to be distracting, and some may find themselves entering into the Picture in Picture (PIP) mode accidentally as well. While it’s easy to close a PiP window to make the video ... Any idea what is causing this inky effect when touching the screen?
by Guest Cloudy22- 0 replies
Hello, Can anyone tell me what the likely cause of this inky smudging effect is when I press on the top corner edge of the phone or on the screen. See video and photos below: https://forums.macrumors.com/attachments/2fac35c8-9f55-4c59-8d64-3a7f38e1df18-jpeg.1932622/ It is a refurbished iPhone SE (1st gen) which I just received but I would like to have as much information as possible before contacting the company so they don‘t just fob me off. When pressing the screen it also makes a clicking sound and moves slightly under the... Read more Continue reading...

Trouble installing/booting linux ubuntu
by Guest DrEGPU- 0 replies
I'm trying to install any debian-based version of linux (ie, Ubuntu) on my Mac Pro 7,1 but am unable. I ran the Ubuntu desktop live-usb one time and managed to get ubuntu mostly installed on a separate nvme drive in a PCIe slot, albeit ruining my windows bootcamp partition on the Apple internal SSD. I deleted the Linux and bootcamp partitions and recreated the bootcamp partition and try to install again without grub this time. Now I get a series of error and the live-usb won't boot. I took... How to recover data? Phone stuck on DFU mode
by Guest Asgrom- 0 replies
Hi all, not sure if anyone has done this before. Basically my iPhone 6 is no longer turning on and keeps going into "DFU" mode, and it seems like the only way to fix it is to reset/reboot it. Problem with that is that it will erase all the data and I haven't backed up in a few years. I see there are a few tools out there, notably 3utools, Tenorshare ReiBoot, and iMyFoneFixppo that apparently can "download the firmware" and install that on the phone without damaging/deleting the data. Has... Read more Continue reading...

2019 Mac Pro Errors detected on memory module
by Guest johnnymcc- 0 replies
Well this sucks. I had just swapped the processor out to a 28-core Xeon. All seems fine for several weeks. Now I'm getting "errors detected on memory module". At first, I thought it was a particular ram module, so I moved the module to a different slot, but then two more errors popped up on different ram modules (some genuine apple, some not). This confirmed it wasn't a particular ram module at all. Anyone else have this issue before? Is it due to the 28-Core Xeon I purchased on ebay? It was... Read more Source: MacRumors

How can I stop iPhone switching to Bluetooth mid-call?
by Guest Mildredop- 0 replies
This is one of those iPhone quirks that makes me think no-one at Apple actually uses iPhones. Very often I’ll make or receive a call completely on the iPhone and then, after a minute or so, the iPhone will suddenly decide to connect to some Bluetooth device that I didn’t even realise was on (could be a speaker in a different room or headphones in my bag). It also happens when using a Bluetooth speaker - it’ll suddenly decide to connect to a different Bluetooth device (this most often... Read more Continue reading...

Re-download all apps on new iPhone?

I just set up my new iPhone by doing the iPhone to iPhone transfer - while all of my data was transferred properly, the apps did not download. They all have the cloud download icon beside them. Do I really need to manually tap each one of those apps to force them to redownload? Is there a way to just bulk force it to download every app? Continue reading...
