How long do you guys think Apple will support the M1 Lineup of Macbooks?

I'm worried about the lifespan of my M1 MBA and how long I can use it without having to upgrade or use things like OCLP. Is it risky to use an unsupported macOS like Catalina?

Hi you all, I’m currently using macOS Catalina, which is no longer supported by Apple. I’d like to better understand the real risks and disadvantages of sticking with an unsupported OS. Regarding security, if I install an antivirus, will that be enough? Or is there more to worry about? Another concern is browsers. The only one still receiving updates on Catalina (among the most famous) is Firefox, which I don't really love but it is fine. Is it really risky to keep using the unsupported one (Chrome, i.e.), or is it fine for casual browsing if I stick to known and safe websites? I've been doing my research lately and there's something that I've been wanting to verify: If you would compare a MacBook AIR vs a MacBok PRO, that have the same specs, what are the actual computing differences? Say you would compare a MacBook Air M3 vs a MacBook Pro M3: both with 512GB of storage and 24GB of RAM. Are there differences apart from the hardware (so apart from the screen, the ports, the size, the fans, the weight, and all that hardware stuff)? Just like the title says im seeing your screen is being observed in the lock screen all the time. I went in the privacy and security settings and turned off every the permissions of every app that was allowed to record the screen one by one. But the message is still there. I NEED to get away from Microsoft, I've tried Linux, and it does everything I need it to do,, but I don't think my wife would be able to handle the involvement with maintenance that Linux requires. So I'm wondering if Mac is the way to go. But I have some embarrassingly simple questions. Will I need to budget for new monitors? My current monitors are remarkably good, I'd hate o have to replace them. The you tube videos I've seen seem to imply that special monitors, keyboards and mice are required, jeeze even new cables seem required. Is there any way to trick internal recoveryOS into installing Ventura, or I have to install Sonoma first, then repair my installation drive? So I’m thinking of getting the mac mini as my current device isn’t very powerful. I actually do have a monitor at home, but I like the 2 screens. I still want to be able to use my MacBook Air 2017 normally when it’s not paired with the Mac mini tho. There’s a high chance I will buy it in China and my region is Europe. I am trying like hell to get my dad on the iPhone train, I got him an iPhone and an Apple Watch and things have been mostly going smooth. He's got an ancient Mac mini as well, running MacOS 10.15.7. Problem: Can't get iCloud Photos to sync properly on any device On his iPhone, he can't enable the iCloud Photo Library. For some reason, his iCloud account is broken. Mac1: M3 Mac2: M4 I'm torn on what to choose because I want to be able to both see what's happening in both screens, as well as switch the mouse/keyboard control as fast as possible. So options are: 1. Apple Studio Display with a KVM switch and i put the MacBooks on the side to see what's happening. I believe you can't hook up 2 MacBooks to Apple Studio Display.
