Alternative to YouMail?
by Guest DominikHoffmann- 0 replies
I have been using YouMail for 15 years. YouMail replaces your cell provider’s voicemail box with its own. It’s service with a free and a premium plan. Until recently the free plan included the feature that sent voicemail messages to my email inbox. I like listening to my voicemails in the Mail app and not just on the phone. Problem is, this feature has recently been discontinued for the free side of the service. Is there an alternative to this? AT&T does not offer this option for their... Read more Continue reading...

Alternatives to Reddit and Instagram mods
by Guest /u/Horus_simplex- 0 replies

I’m coming from android and am a bit lost. I’m used to mods for instagram, Reddit, YouTube, which mainly doesn’t displays ads. Since I switched to iPhone I really can’t stand all the advertisement I see everywhere, and aside from using a ad blocking browser like Brave, I still didn’t find any ways to have a good ad-free experience on iPhone. Is there any way to get some mods like the revanced ones on android? Thanks for your help ! submitted by /u/Horus_simplex [link] [comments]

Always On Display: Widgets Don't Work (iOS 18)
by Guest /u/morethanskin- 0 replies
Since upgrading to iOS 18, widgets on the AOD don't work. They appear blank or white instead of displaying their intended content. This is extremely annoying and bothersome. If anyone has a solution, please let me know. I've tried everything imaginable from restarting my iPhone to reseting it. submitted by /u/morethanskin [link] [comments]

Always on screen - how to stop media controls and images displaying on lock screen?
by Guest theautopilot- 0 replies
I love the always-on screen, and would like to continue using it. But it does present some privacy concerns for me. Mostly I don’t like people being able to glance at my screen on my desk or car dock and see what videos, music or media I have been watching. For example if I watch a YouTube video, even if I stop the video and close the app it’s still on my Lock Screen. Before anyone makes the inevitable jokes about what I watching, no it’s not that. Nothing bad, I simply like keep my... Read more Continue reading...

Always On, Turning Off?
by Guest Goatman455- 0 replies
I am aware that Apple has a press release for the fact the screen goes dark in certain scenarios. That’s understandable, but my question is whether the phone becomes responsive again when moved? My phone will shut off overnight and then when I pick it up it will stay off, as if the AOD feature is disabled. Once I wake the phone it operates normally again, but will do the same thing when placed down again for a length of time. Is this normal for everyone with a 14 pro and pro max... Always Show the Full Name & Email Address of Recipients in Mail for Mac OS X
by Guest Paul Horowitz- 0 replies
You may have noticed that when composing and replying to emails in the Mac Mail app, only the recipients name shows up in the “To” and “CC” fields. This is a feature called “Smart Addresses”, which hides the full name and email address from view, which can help to reduce screen clutter, but for some ... by Guest slrm94- 0 replies

Hi All, BACKSTORY: I have a classic problem which I have been reading about on here for hours but cannot work out if I have found the easiest solution or not? I have a MacPro 5.1 with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Founders addition that I want to take past 10.13.6 (Spec below). The main use of this machine is for Logic X which I cannot upgrade without upgrading the O.S. however I bought this machine with the GTX 1080 as I make logo's and some music videos with the Adobe suite and... Am I wasting my time trying to run Sonoma on my Mac Pro 5,1?
by Guest matthewpomar- 0 replies

Once per day, I keep getting panicks running Sonoma related to VTDecoderXPCServ on my 2009 Mac Pro (Dual Xeon 3.46 6 core, Sapphire RX580). It’s all a fresh install and I’m running latest version of OCLP. Overall, it works fine while I'm using it, but just locks up with a black screen, mouse and keyboard non-responsive, and I have to press the power button to bring it back up after it has sat a while and the screen has gone to sleep. According this the post below, the error is due to... Read more Source: MacRumors

Amateur Intelligence not Apple Intelligence
by Guest /u/Xoomster- 0 replies

I am on 15PM. As of 18.2 update, the AI is absolutely laughable. I know it's early days but the Playground and genemoji are seriously laughable, especially coming from Apple. These kind of image manipulation has been available online for years. And on Android apps. And for free. Not to mention the drainage on the battery. 15-18 minutes of Playground or Writing Tools usage heats up the $1000 phone! I am a die hard Apple fan but we must call out the BS it is peddling to the market for past few years. Apple should remember Blackberry - it was a sweetheart thing to possess for a generation globally but taking its users for granted and no real tech innovation killed it. My sec…
