Hi, I have recently rebuilt my pc, but ever since I finished rebuilding it, my windows has been extremely slow. As in, taking a minute to open settings or task manager slow.I have since then tried migrating my os from my hdd to my SSD via the diskgenius software. That didn’t work, so I tried a fresh install of windows 11 straight to my SSD, wiping everything else. That only left me with a “Windows 11 Installation Failed” message. After that, I tried booting from the SSD itself and ended up with the 0xc0000225 error, with no way to go forward. I have tried to use command prompts to use the BOOT Continue reading...

Continue reading...

I just installed the new update of the Realtek driver from the manufacturer's website. After installing it, I was prompted to restart my device. However, after the restart, my device showed the message 'No audio device is installed.' I reinstalled the driver, and it again prompted me to restart my device, but after restarting, it still shows 'No audio device is installed.' I went to Device Manager to uninstall the drivers, but there is no option for the Realtek drivers. Can someone help me?. Continue reading...

Windows 11 seems to turn "Audio enhancements" and possibly also "Spatial sound" on by default for your audio output devices. It also seems to turn them back on sometimes on its own. Which is really annoying. This alters the audio and can really make it sound bad and ruin expensive headsets like the Logitech G Pro X 2. These settings that alter audio should be OFF by default and they should also stay OFF when you turn them off manually. Continue reading...

I messed up a laptop by upgrading to Windows 11. I couldn't use it anymore, but I had another laptop of the same vintage, so I started using that and kept Windows 10. BUT, somehow I lost a module and it makes all my documents DOCX and I can't open them unless I use Word. Gets annoying and I would like to see if the module can be put back on the laptop. It is module C:\Windows\System32\LogiLDA.dllI am not a computer whiz, so if anyone can help, please in simple language! I have not tried anything because I don't know where to begin.Processor Continue reading...

Windows Auto HDR is using the wrong Gamma Curve and it's ruining blacks. Auto HDR (actually Windows Advanced Color in general) uses what the spec says is the correct gamma curve. The problem is nobody actually used that for real monitors. Effectively, Windows has had a de jure transfer curve (sRGB Piecewise) and a different de facto transfer curve (Pure Power 2.2) for decades. Nobody bothered to enforce sRGB Piecewise and nobody authored content for it either. Then when MS made HDR/Advanced Color, they made a highly dubious decision to treat all untagged SDR material as sRGB, including the pie Continue reading...

Hi, I have recently build a new gaming pc with a ASUS B650 plus WiFi motherboard and I can’t find an option for the WiFi in the network settings. I’ve downloaded all the drivers off of ASUS site and downloaded different ones from other sites and still nothing has changed. I have upgraded windows 10 to 11 hoping that it would help and I have reset the pc and also reinstalled windows. I have also added some codes in to Windows+R and enabled WiFi through the network sharing settings. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Continue reading...

Every time I start my Windows 11 laptop or switch to a separate Windows 11 session two of the Background setting options are being reset. 1) In the "Personalise your background" the option that is at the top of the list is defaulting each time I start my laptop. In this case "Picture" but my preferred option is "Slideshow". Last year this began to happen after one of the Windows updates. Previously my Windows setting always retained my preference but then it stopped. I did enter an issue about this, but no progress was made. 2) Now, following the latest Windows 11 update (early Dec 2024), ther Continue reading...

This is the version of Win 11 I now have. Following a notice that I needed to upgrade, I've tried everything (I think) that Microsoft suggests. I'm only computer-experienced enough to be dangerous. I downloaded the PCHealthCheck utility, and the Win 11 Installation assistant. Health Check said everything was good. Installation would not complete. I checked the TPM module (results below). Now I'm not sure where to go. I appreciate your help. Continue reading...

I've just done a clean installation of Windows 11 on one of my computers. I now find that no application windows can be resized using the mouse. I can resize them by right-clicking in the top bar and clicking "size" but nothing changes when I hover over a boundary.I've tried some of the fixes elsewhere - checking display size, magnification etc. I've only installed a couple of simple apps so far, so there's nothing esoteric.Any ideas? If you want to open a Screenshots image as a snip to re-use it; maybe, you want to mark it up or modify it in some way before using it, again. Well, here is how you can do that:1. Open Snipping Tool from Applications, not via Win+Shift+S nor Print screen key.Now hit Snipping Tool's ellipsis & click on Open FileAnd, NOW, open the same image. Done this way it opens as an actual Snip, again! 😃👍👍 that can be treated & reused however you want, again! 😃👍👍Cheers,Drew Continue reading...

Since this past Friday I've been receiving frequent BSOD with the error code: Memory_Management. The issue happens while I'm video editing or installing a game or sometimes just after a couple of hours out of nowhere. I've already gone and updated all of my drivers and even went through reinstalling WIndows 10 after seeing that I was having errors with some corrupted files afterward. Nothing seems to fix the issue. I even tried doing a Memory Diagnostic and wasn't able to gain any information.I collected the minidump files for it so that maybe someone else might be able to help me figure out w Continue reading...

This error keeps appearing on my computer, I have not made any recent updates to software and I can’t update drivers because this error shows up. I can’t click on pop ups, restart my computer, nor update anything without getting this error. The only thing I did to the PC recently was replace the PCI cables that go to the GPU. Could that be the issue or am I missing something? I’ve tried running diagnostics in maintenance. And scanning using command prompt. I can’t restore my PC from an resent update because I haven’t made any. Continue reading...
