Hi, I'm completely clueless I hope I can get some help. My SSD has corrupted, it's my boot drive but I have 2 other harddrives installed that seem to be okay. I bought a new SSD to replace it but I have no clue on how to proceed after this. I have automatic backups of select important files and folders from that drive but not a full backup of the whole drive. I tried making system images and backups of the drive but they all failed, I assume because it's corrupt? So I'm assuming I need to just start with a fresh install on the new SSD? Good afternoon. I am using Windows 10 21H2. I categorically dislike the update of some UWP apps, for example the photos app. I hate what Microsoft has done to it and install the version with a normal interface Microsoft.Windows.Photos_2019.19041.20110.0.AppxBundle in manual mode. The automatic update checkbox in the store is unchecked and experience has shown me that even with no store in general, the update is still done through the Windows Update Center. Everytime i play a heavy game or a benchmark it happens. My laptop has one year and it started happening at september. I fixed it for a month but now is back and i tried everything. I'm using Windows 11 and the firewall rules have been changing by themselve often. I can leave everything as it is, check back an hour later and privately checked without public rules go to public. If i install some software (such as steam especially) the steam client and its helepr automatically go to public. I dont have steam installed now, and have been monitoring the issue. so im using the Lenovo Thinkpad t495s AMD Ryzen 5 pro 3500u and it's not letting me enable secure boot. I tried to enable it but it didn't let me re-boot the system. but when I disabled it again, the system boots up. the platform mode/secure boot mode is grayed out for me. I even turned off DMA protection to see if it'll let me enable secure boot but it still didn't. my bios is set to legacy instead of uefi and i didn't even find the uefi firmware option. i don't know what to do. it also says that the secure boot is unsupported for my laptop. I recently change a folder's name in C:\Users\ from A to B. Visual Studio Code used to be in A and now I cannot uninstall it and when I tried to uninstall it, a message says Windows cannot find: C:\User\A\AppData\Local\Programs\Microsoft VS Code\unins000.exe. What can I do about it? Note that there is no more C:\Users\A in the File Explorer and I can still use the app just fine, but when I typed code . in PowerShell, it does not get recognized. Hi, I have just set up a new surface laptop which runs on windows 11.
