Hi, I just bought a new computer and to use Windows, I logged in with an already created Windows account. This account is being used on another computer. I want to set a PIN code to log in instead of the password, but when I go to set it in the Microsoft account settings, after entering the password in the pop-up window, this window disappears and the window to set the pin does not appear, it keeps loading but does not appear.What can i do? Hi,I need to replace my p.c. which runs Win10 Home with a new desktop computer. I'm worried about my privacy, and am easily confused about computers.I've been told that if I buy a new computer it will have Win11 installed, and that my files will be automatically backed up to Microsoft's cloud storage, which I don't want. I've also been told that Win11 is not an office suite, and that I would have to subscribe to Office 365. Hello,I have 2 step sign in turned on and last month, I started receiving numerous emails with sign-in codes. All the attempts were unsuccessful (and were from all over the place). I changed my password very frequently at first (pretty much daily) and then I changed the way I log into my Microsoft account (so that old email that was receiving the codes should not even be associated with the account anymore.)This worked for a while but last night I received another sign in code to this old email, which should not be getting Microsoft emails anymore and is no longer an alias.To make matters more Continue reading...

The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during BOOT operation. Hi, after updating my Windows to the latest version, my taskbar & explorer frequently crash. After this they cannot be restarted in the taskmanager. All other applications work fine. If the machine is restarted, it works fine for 15 - 20 min before the explorer / taskbar crashes again. After many different attempts (DISM / SFC commands etc) I even reinstalled Windows (first keeping the current data & apps and as this did not do the job I reset everything). For some reason, my wifi will just stop functioning out of the blue for no reason. It will say that it's "Connecting" to my home network, but it doesn't actually do anything. Yesterday, I installed the 24H2 update, then updated and shut down my PC. Today, when I turned it on, I was greeted with multiple Program Compatibility Assistant popups stating that certain drivers cannot load on this device:I checked Settings > Windows Update and noticed the update didn't install properly. Title explains my problem, after 3-5 minutes no activity, it sends me to the lock screen, plugged in or not.My sleep and screen turn off is set to Never, and it also started randomly happening NOW, it never did this in the past, it started happening when i had changed the "lock screen status" settingAfter system restore, tampering with registry to unlock hidden settings and changing them. Is there any way to stop the Photos app from automatically updating? I really do not want to use the current version (especially as it's weighed down with pointless, broken and intrusive "AI" junk) as I despise the way it functions. Hello friends,Because I use several laptops, I have to store my files on a hard drive (Adata ssd) or a flash memory.I open a Word file on a laptop and make changes to it or add things to it.The next day when I plug my hard drive into another laptop or the former one. A Screen Lock Happens often when using xbox controller, not sure is that by itself, or because a mouse is connected in the same time as well. this issue happens both when using the controller while a game\app is opened or closed, & the only way to get back to desktop is to unlock.
