I am having an issue currently where my Windows is freezing about 1 minute after logging in and needs to be manually shut down by holding power button on the PC.This is the 2nd time In a few days this issue happened. Both times were similar . I was watching YouTube Video on one monitor and playing a full-screen game on another monitor. It was 2 different games so I know the game wasn't the issue but both crashes occurred when I was performing an action (picking up an item during freeze in both games coincidentally? My monitors all froze but audio was still playing and cursor was frozen. I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 14, open box, from Best Buy and everything runs okay on the computer. When I plug in my headphones though, I hear a weird quiet static noise sometimes and it can get annoying. I also realized that my laptop isn't using the microphone on my headphones, instead it's using the laptop microphone. I checked in settings to switch to my headphone microphone but I couldn't find it or add it. How do I fix these problems? I would like to get the microphone working at the very least. Continue reading...

Recently I've completely reinstalled Windows because I installed new hardware. However after having done so, my computer keeps bluescreening with different messages every time. This doesn't happen at boot, it happens seemingly randomly. I've also noticed some games continuously keep crashing, although I'm not 100% sure if this is related. I've also installed new drivers (cause I have new hardware) so I think it might be one of those. No idea which one though. I can see my BSOD history through the Event Viewer, and this is a history of them:11/24/2024: The computer has rebooted&n Continue reading...

Hey Team,I am using Windows 11 on my Acer laptop. While I am connected to my bluetooth device, and I am on a call as well as I am trying to play music, I can only hear the lyrics of the music and not the actual instruments or background music for a song.I tried to toggle off the settings of handsfree telephony, as suggested here.https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/when-im-on-a-call-and-while-using-my-bluetooth/d5bcb16d-18ce-4930-84b7-17e9c008b5fdHowever, the issue persists. It is quite frustrating especially when I am trying to view/or share content using my earphones on a ca Continue reading...

Hi all, I've been having issues recently with updating my Windows PC, in particular my Windows Update seems to be unable to connect to the update service. I also found out that I can't seem to download any app from the Windows store. This leads me to think that there's probably some issue with the certificates in my registry, as it was mentioned here for example. Where can I find a copy of working registries? (Unfortunately, I don't have a second Windows device) Moreover, how can I copy-paste said working copy into my registry? Thanks a lot for the help. Continue reading...

Why is my computer (windows 11) saying that my storage is 700gb out of 1Tb full. I have only few games and in total they are around 200Gb then why do I have 700gb full? In settings - storage its saying that desktop is 220Gb which is right because I have all games there but the first option is games and its saying 350Gb under it but I have games on desktop and its already taking my space but when I click on games that says 350Gb there are only 3 games in total of 4Gb not 350Gb. Can someone help me why do I have so much space full when I have only games in size 220Gb? Continue reading...

I have been trying to connect to Windows support for the last three hours. Every chat window that opens or browser window gives me an error message of exception failure or service unavailable. I have cleared my my cookies and restarted to no avail. I have a Brother Printer MFC-L8895CDW. I am currently on Windows 11 Pro Version 24H2. Apparently there is an issue with this version that is causing by Brother Printer Drivers to not install properly. I spent the morning on the Brother and they finally figured out it is a Windows Driver error and that I have to reach out to Windows to fix this. This Continue reading...

Hello,I spun up an Azure VM and connected it to my Intune via my global admin Entra ID credentials in the "access work or school" section of the settings. After doing so, I went into Intune, made a new configuration policy, and under user rights added a few users under "allow local login". I added the VM to a group and assigned the configuration to the group. When I look at the device, Intune reports that it was successfully applied. When I try to login with a standard user that is on the user rights list, I get a "The connection was denied because the user account is not authorized for remot Continue reading...

If I google the Window's version update number e.g. 32H2 the Wikipedia page does inform me about changes to the new version. If Microsoft doesn't maintain a public webpage with that info, then I think they should at least take the user to the appropriate Wikipedia page. Instead the link takes me to a "Window Tips" page which seems to have more generalized information not necessarily details of the main features of the update. If Microsoft is worried about confusing the user with too much information then perhaps their "See What's New" should take users to a page with a "details" tab. Continue reading...

For two weeks, I have tried to sign into my 365 educational account, my Microsoft Store and even just my Outlook (New) account and - every time - get a 0x801901f4 message. Then, this afternoon, got hit with the ol' "Buy a $250.00 Microsoft card and we'll send you the money. Promise!" scam. Created a new Microsoft "umbrella" account, which my ORIGINAL one is the only Microsoft account I can still access with no problem - and this is only happening on Windows. I have an Android phone with the Outlook app. No hitches at all, except that my Gmail account keeps sending me notices every 15-20 m Continue reading...

Hi dear Windows users,I'm a 20 years old coder and thus, I spend a lot of time on it. If you have even been coding for some "big" projects, you know what I mean. Or, simply, if you have been coding a lot, or just enjoy yourself on a PC.I spend countless hour on my comps so I took some time to make it with cozy with Lively Wallpaper ! But why on earth is creating an orb file for Windows so hard ? (this is when you want to replace the Windows start icon menu with another image of your own). It's nothing else but a picture. When I was learning programming, all my teachers taught me the following m Continue reading...
