Hello,I am having trouble with my Windows 10 installation. After selecting my keyboard layout, I get to a blue screen that says, "We’re trying to connect to Microsoft, this may take a few minutes." However, no matter how long I wait, it keeps attempting to connect without progressing. Is there any way to fix this issue?I have tried restarting the installation and checking my internet connection, but the issue persists. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Continue reading...

windows 10 How does windows handle a time delta between the OS system time and the BIOS time?
by Guest Bregn- 0 replies
I have a system that is not connected to the internet. It is common to move hard drives between systems. It is common for there to be a difference between the BIOS clock on the motherboard/CMOS and the clock stored on the hard drive and Windows OS. What does Windows do when there is a difference between the hardware (motherboard) and software (Windows OS) clocks? Is there a setting that can prioritize which time (BIOS or OS) is used in the event of a difference? If it exists is it expected that the BIOS/motherboard should have this setting rather than Windows? I was not able to find Continue reading...

this seems to be a common error when i was researching it. I have already tried all the repairs i’ve seen whether it be resetting the PC, or entering something to command prompt. I can’t open most of the options because i am met with a “You need to sign in as an administrator to continue, but there aren’t any administrator accounts on this PC.” message. How would i go about fixing this, having to buy something off amazon is a last resort as cash is tight right now and it would take a little while to deliver. Continue reading...

My child used their microsoft account to sign into Minecraft on a public PC. They deleted the app but after they had left the PC, someone was able to log in using his details. This began to show on his screen time report in Family Safety. Being a public PC, it looked like the device was being used for 24 hours a day.I wasn't able to disconnect or remove the device through my parent Family Safety account, but I was able to by signing into my child's account. To confirm, the device has been removed from my child's Family safety account. Only one device remains, which is his personal laptop.Howeve Continue reading...

I'm almost sure that in the past my files were in my Documents folder on my computer. Not the one where OneDrive is part of the path, but the one under my username in the C drive. Now they seem to be only in the folder on my computer under OneDrive. The Documents folder under my username is completely empty. Other folders including Music, Pictures, and Videos aren't just empty, but no longer exist at all under my username.I have all my files set to "Always keep on this device," and they still all have the solid green check mark (in the OneDrive version of the Documents folder on my computer).F Continue reading...
