Hi friends I have not been around on here of late but I had to tell you this one to go with skyclads problem. Pluss I am chuffed with my self. About a week ago I kept getting the BSD and The black one as well all this and a funny sound from my PC. All this happened after inside the first 30 seconds of switching on. Also a message no HDMI connection You would not believe the apps I removed oh and put them back again. Long story short after about 3 days flapping about I wondered if anything was visible in the pc case. Why Why Why did my 80 year old brain NOT do this first. the answer 3 small cables wrapped round the spotless CPU fan tied them back with plastic tie all…

A couple of weeks ago, before going on holiday/vacation, I wanted to copy a few photos onto my computer. When I booted I got a black screen, no desktop just a mouse pointer. Windows had updated the night before so I assumed it was a problem with that, I rebooted but got the same thing several times. Then I noticed the internet router had been switched off, don't like leaving it on when I'm away. I switched the router back on and my desktop appeared. Just wondering if anyone else has had this or knows why it happens?

Last year I picked up a cheap laptop - a Dell 6320 which I have been using for odd bits of work when away from home. I have been very pleased with it with an i5 processor and 8gb ram and it nips along at a fair speed so all in all I was very happy. However for the past 3 months my daughter has been hammering it somewhat - using it intensively for her university Graphics and IT design course and the poor thing has been being used 12 hours per day for a while now. Last week she came to me saying there was something wrong with the PC - and sure enough there was - the screen display was only showing the bottom half an image, the rest obscured by vertical lines. Suspect…

Hi Everyone:) I recently bought a Kingston 32gb micro sd card. I just tried to format it and I noticed it said it was only 112mb but I thought that would correct itself when it was formatted. I tried it through the usual way first (my computer, right click the drive, click format, this is where it said 112mb,ticked fast format, then format) then got "Windows was unable to complete the format" I tried it in various "file systems" but still the same. So I tried it via disc management, and with the same result?? I removed it from the pc to check that the lock was off, and tried again, and now it hangs the computer. And have to remove it to unhang the pc. I hope that one…

I will be upgrading the site to the newest version of xenForo. During this time the site will be down at intermittent times. Downtime should be minimal. The style we use will not be compatible so I will be adding a new style as part of the upgrade. When I start the upgrade process I will shutoff the old style. Thanks for your patience.

Please redirect this if it is in the incorrect forum page. I was looking for "Networks". When I got my desktop back from the engineers, I could see that the network card was missing as it had an antenna attached to it which was missing. I was informed that a new card had been fitted, this was new and was only as big as your thumb-nail. It fitted in a spare USB socket at the back of the machine. Some of the USB sockets do not work however. I wasn't told why. After a while it was buffering more and more in the middle of of watching a you-tube video. Then it stopped working all together. I found another (new one) online and put it in the socket at the back - it did no…
