Been hacked please help

I have an HP OMEN 870-224 i5 windows 10 home, was pro but it downgraded, I won’t upgrade again until my issue is fixed.I purchased another hard drive & started from scratch, but this too was hacked. How does someone remotely create an administrative account on your computer that is hidden? The only way I found it, is I pressed f11 repeatedly to go to “Troubleshoot”, then “Advanced Options”, then “fix Windows with Command Prompt”. Then it asks you to choose administrative account to access command prompt. This is where I found the hidden administrative account. I have tried hard reset, I’ve Continue reading...

I have been hacked. People ask, well how have you been hacked? I have a lot of memory issues due to cancer treatments so I only do my best to remember or take pictures. Lots and lots of pictures. When you are on your computer & everything is awesome & no one has been in the background, it’s an awesome feeling. But, when you log onto your computer & nothing is as you left it, & someone is in the background scattering all of your files so you can’t find them, is the worst feeling there is. When no one really listens & really doesn’t care about what’s been happening to you, is Continue reading...

Determining what PUA's are
by Guest SlickRCBD- 0 replies

I got gifted the game Disgaea for my birthday a while ago, but the game needs a LOT of grinding. I am not a kid with a summer vacation to blow on this anymore, so I wanted to cheat some XP to eliminate the boring grinding. However the save files are encrypted, so I'm looking for an editor or trainer for this purpose. While doing so, Windows Defender keeps alerting me about PUAs or PUPs. It then gives me a cryptic thing like "PUA:Win32/Vigua.A"I know that in the past some antiviruses have classified "trainers" as dangerous even though they were safe and did exactly what they claimed an no more, Continue reading...

Microsoft Safety Scanner Error in Malware detection
by Guest Charlie493- 0 replies

My computer is infected with malware. My web browser, (this happened in Chrome), if left unattended, opens random product web pages such as amazon or aliexpress (referal links and the like). I guess there is more but this is the only thing I have evidence for. When I run the Microsoft Safety Scanner, while scanning, it states the number of infected files found, which keeps growing. However, as the scan end and I get the results, I get a message saying that no threats were detected. How can I check those files that were consideredinfected while the program was running? Also, how can I delete thi Continue reading...

Can a virus get onto my USB drive
by Guest M Jawad- 0 replies

I am sure my windows 10 laptop has a virus in it, so I have decided to do a factory reset of the laptop. However, I have some very important files on the laptop which I want to keep and I am pretty sure if I run the "keep my personal files" option on the factory reset the virus will just stay and hide itself as a personal file, so I decided to copy any important files manually onto my USB drive and then completely wipe the disk and put the files back in after. However, I'm wondering can a virus get onto the USB drive? I do not want to run into the same problem again after resetting so should I Continue reading...

How do I deal with a 'remediation incomplete' security alert?
by Guest Fine1UK- 0 replies
My Windows Defender notifies me that it has detected Trojan Malware (TrojanDownloader:JS/MalScript/Ab!.MSR) on my PC -Windows 10. It says this ‘severe threat’ has been tackled and there are no current threats - but the ‘remeditation is incomplete’, with a reference to the infected file. To check, I’ve now separately scanned with Malwarebytes and Microsoft Safety Scanner and both deliver a clean bill of health - no mention of a malware infection. Nevertheless Windows Defender continues to deliver the 'remediation incomplete’ message. Suspecting a false positive I’ve deleted the scan h Continue reading...

Windows Defender detecting Behavior:Win32/CoinMiner.I over and over but doesn't remove it.
by Guest BlitzhundUK- 0 replies

Hi all,I've ran Defender a number of times both on and offline. Have also removed logs and excluded the Defender history folder in case it was detecting false positives from it. Still seems that I've got this issue. I've ran FRST and have the compilation logs but don't really know what to do with them. This is a multiuse computer and I fear one of my teenagers has gone somewhere dodgy and caught us a coinminer that's running in an active process that won't go. Any help appreciated.Link to Onedrive FRST Logs (zipped):FRST Logs Continue reading...
