Hello, Thanks for previous help; very appreciated. New SE user. Regarding the 3 buttons along the edge: I understand that two of them are for making sounds louder or softer. Re the third one; the one that show orange if pushed downward: I was charging the phone last night, had the phone normally On, as was suggested, and apparently a few calls and noises came in and scared the occupants of the room. *If I push this button down, and the orange shows, would this disable truly... Re-Charging Nightly Question, Please
by Guest Robert4- 0 replies
Hello, Have a new iPhone SE and just bought, also, a Galvonix wireless recharger from Amazon. Seems to work quite well, and re-charges thru the OtterBox iPhone case. Question: When I charge it overnight, is it important or necessary to shut the phone off first, or simply leave on all the time, and just put on the stand (while on) for a nightly "topping off" ? Any advantage if I shut off each night prior to ? Why ? Thanks, Bob Source: MacRumors

by Guest Gypsy36- 0 replies

Hi all, sorry for the stupid question but I previously had an issue and I just wanted to make sure I’m doing the right thing. I have an iPhone XS that I am trading in (sob) for the iPhone 13 Pro. The XS is currently on 14.8. I have done a back up to my computer and the essentials are all in the cloud. Previously I wasn’t permitted to restore because one of the devices wasn’t on the proper operating software (don’t recall if it was the computer, the back up or the new phone). Given that... Do you want to hide your phone number for new iMessage conversations started from the Mac? This is something that a lot of users may wish to do for privacy reasons. Well, you’ll be pleased to know that you can easily do this on your Mac. If you set up iMessage first on your iPhone, it’s likely that the service is using your phone number by default instead of your Apple ID email address when you’re accessing it on your Mac too. Most users aren’t okay giving out their personal phone numbers to random people. Therefore, privacy buffs who want to avoid this can switch to an email address instead of their phone numbers for new iMessage conversations. Using an email addr…

I just bought a Mac Mini 2012 era computer. I upgraded the memory to 16 GB (purchased on Amazon for under $100), memory upgrade went easy and just works. I also replaced the disk with a Samsung SSD 500 GB, (also ordered from Amazon for under $200, total for both was $235). installing the disk was a pain in the butt, it took hours. I formatted the disk and did a carbon copy clone from my prior disk prior to the install. To do that I put the new sad disk in an external enclosure and connected it by USB. Everything worked when I was done so it was worth doing. I also connected an Asus PB278Q 27" monitor. Wow what a nice monitor. The increased resolution and clarity ar…

According the new in Magican Official Site, Magican have more than 6 features. 1, Check the status of the system, like CPU and Ram usage; 2, Clean useless file and uninstall apps to speed up Mac; 3, Software center list out the discount/free app from Mac App Store; 4, Toolbox provides you a series of small Mac tools; 5, Check hardware information...... I always open this app to monitor the Mac status. I think monitor for Mac is the best feature among them.

Magican is the all in one Mac software, it can speed up and maintain Mac performance. But some people say they don't like this app and will not use it. I want to know the reasons. Do you feel the graphic design is not for Mac? Are you feel your Mac don't need such an application? Do you want to have specific functional software? Is it because this software is free? You have found a better one?
