iPhone mutes when on speaker, other party can't hear me

iPhone SE. During phone call, when in speaker mode the other party can't hear me. No issue with earphones. I've powered on/off, reset, wiped clean and set up iPhone as new, reset network settings. Do not recall if issue started after using earphones, cleaning lightning port, or with software update, or started randomly. Could this be hardware issue? Any advice appreciated. Continue reading...

Anyone have and/or use an iPhone Pro Max? I am still using an iPhone 8 and I'm looking to upgrade. For those that use an iPhone Pro Max what do you think? Is it a good upgrade from an iPhone 8? Thanks in advance for the answers.

iPhone XS Max iOS 13 A few months ago, my dad was set to pick me up at the airport He was not responding to my calls or texts Luckily, I was able to catch him driving by the arrivals area and flagged him down A few days later, my mom called and told me my dad was trying to text me and I was not responding I tried troubleshooting and then thought to ask him to check and see if my phone number was blocked on his iPhone -- and, yes, it was (weird) Over the past few months I have... iPhone SE (1st Gen) Forgot Passcode
by Guest whiteowl4- 0 replies

I have three iPhones (2 SE and 1 5s) running with same Apple ID. I forgot the passcode used in the SEs(common passcode) while iPhone 5s passcode was different and I remember it. After exhausting all the chances of entering passcode, I had to erase and reset one of the SE. Now, when I am setting up as a new phone, it is asking me to enter the passcode, I tried one more time but in vain. So, now I have the option to click forgot passcode and enter passcode used in 5s. Should I just go for this... Read more Continue reading...

iPhone SE2020 Intermittent cellular data

Hi everybody, this is my first post! Thank you for allowing me into the group and I’m sure I will find the answer I need here. I have had an iPhone SE 2020 from New and recently it would not load any data randomly when on 4G, if I switched Wi-Fi on then it would load the webpages instantly. I contacted my mobile phone provider who sent me a new Sim card and this did not cure the problem, I then changed mobile phone provider (to a better deal too) from Three to Giffgaff and this again did... iPhone XS Max charging problem.
by Guest Markosgiazza- 0 replies

Hello, I tried charging this iPhone XS Max but it gets stuck at 82% with optimized battery charge turned off. I tried changing the cable, didn’t work I tried charging it wirelessly, at 82% after 3 minutes the wireless charge or qi starts flashing meaning the phone doesn’t accept any electricity. I took it to change the charging flex but they say the flex is good. Is the problem the battery itself? Battery life is at 84% and from charging data, it shows that it loses electricity. 2... A Korean company, Playmass has announced the launch of an interesting new accessory for the iPhone 3GS. It's called iSeeU, which will allow iPhone 3GS users to make a video call - minus the awkwardness that comes with it. Since the iPhone 3GS comes sans a front facing camera, making a video call isn’t actually very pleasurable experience even after the arrival of a plethora of apps that allows iPhone 3GS users to do so. iSeeU solves that problem by attaching itself on to your iPhone 3GS. I'm curious if others are having this problem. I have a Mophie QI wireless charge pad that is so finicky when trying to get it to accept my iPhone 13 Pro Max with a slim case. Worse I just bought a 2023 Genesis GV80 with a built in QI wireless charger and it will not charge the same phone with any case on it. Also its very hard to get a consistent signal without a case. I've tried several of Apple cases none will work. When I try an iPhone X with a case it works perfectly. I'm thinking... Read more Continue reading...

Loving OS X

I have OS X set up the way I like it now. I have all my email accounts converted. Have my IM accounts added to Adium. I haven't switched to my Windows 7 box in 4 days. In Fact I shut it off today for the first time since I installed Windows 7. I still need to buy Photoshop for OS X. Once I do that I don't see any reason why I would ever have to start up Windows 7 again. I'll use my license to create a Virtual machine and run it there.

According to a new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apples upcoming base model Macs could start with 16GB RAM by default, up from 8GB. This breaks a tradition that Apple has had going for around 8 years now. Apple increased the base RAM of the base model 13-inch MacBook Air from 4GB to 8GB in 2016, and since then it’s been the standard. For the most part this has been fine, but in recent years it’s been a growing complaint. However, that could be changing soon. According to Gurman, the tested M4 Macs “all have either 16 or 32 gigabytes of memory.” This means upcoming Mac buyers would potentially have 16GB of RA…

Hello, I'm facing some problem with my mac mini audio setup. I bought a new mac mini about 15 days ago. I tried to connect it to my AV digital receiver (ONKYO TX-SR608) via HDMI in order to get 5.1 audio output. But the only thing I obtained is a stereo output. In midi configuration all the multi channel audio options are disabled. The only one that is selectable is the stereo option. On the other hand in VLC audio set up the multi channel option is selectable but if I click on it the program (and the played dvd) hangs up. Yesterday, tired of making continuous efforts in order to get the multi channel signal from the HDMI interface I bought an optical (toslink) cable…

I want to mount my Mini on it's side. If you do this with a PC it can cause the hard drive to fail if you ever decide to mount it any other way. Will setting my Mini on it's side hurt anything inside the box?

I have version Mac OS X 10.4.11 that's what came with it. 1.5 GHz Intel Core Solo 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM It is running slow all of a sudden. It started when I hooked up a Lacie drive to backup all my pictures with a Firewire cable. Not sure if this is what started the problem or it is a coincidence. It is not connected at the moment and still having problems. I have zapped the PRAM. I tried to reboot in safe mode and it would not work. Can't find a startup disc. Any suggestions on how to find out what is causing it to run slow. Some symptoms are: Safari and Firefox running real slow ; spinning rainbow wheel a lot. Icons disappearing from desktop only to r…

HI, Firstly im kinda amazed there are no Thunderbolt 4 PCI cards for my mac pro, only external hub etc.. Anyway, i foolishly ordered a 4 Port ASUS ThunderboltEX 4 Expansion Card, so thought i could have a play before sending this back. Best i can get out of it is that it's identified as a unknown PCI card but i have seen A LOT of posts of people hacking firmwares and drivers to get this working (mostly on older versions).. Anything i can do / threads i can follow to see whether i can get... Read more Source: MacRumors

My Mac Pro hits the logo, loads about halfway and then loops or goes black. I have exhausted the google searches. Before the logo I get the three options - boot my drive ( goes to logo and then loops) - recovery ( goes blank after trying to reload or do something) - nvram reset ( I think it resets then goes back to the three choices again The last thing on all the apple support options to solve it says to take it into the shop, I live in the mountains. MacVidCards alternative, or how to DIY EFI for RX580 Reference?
by Guest DevoAtari- 0 replies

Hey, I've dealt with Dave from MacVidCards a bunch of times, first with an HD6870, then a GTX760, then a GTX970... Every one of those times was fantastic, albeit, he was getting harder and harder to get a hold of, over time. Now, I sent an email 8 months ago, which he still seemed great, quickly replaying that I could definitely drop off my card on a weekend... Then... Nothing... Absolutely nothing. Emailed about 10 more times, since then, and I've received no response. Looking around... Read more Source: MacRumors

Both Magican and CleanMyMac can cleaning the unneeded files to keep Mac in order. However, difference still exists between them. If you have experienced these two Mac applications, you will be able to differentiate the two applications on basis of their features. CleanMyMac focuses on sweeping the files you does not need away to keep your Mac clean and health. They are logs, cache files, universal binaries, system junks, useless languages, leftovers and uninstalled application. You may consider it to be very versatile software. But I’d like to choose a application with more functions, that’s why I prefer Magican. Besides cleaning all the useless files, Magican also supp…

I just bought a Mac Mini 2011 with Intel i5 Core and tried to setup with my Acer X193w LCD monitor (highest resolution: 1680x1050). However, I got black screen display (blank) when connected the unit to my monitor through the AVI/HDMI adaptor came with the package. May I know what went wrong and how shall I resolve the problem. I have no problem using the monitor with my PC. Really appreciate if someone had similar experience can advise me. Many thanks. Best regards... CK

Hi all, I am having a problem with my Mini. Just started this past weekend. I ran the disk check 3 times and received the following error code: 4HDD/11/4000000:SATA(0.0). I got this on the first test only. After the first one it came back clean with no other messages. Now here is my problem that I noticed first, I got a message onscreen that said my PC encountered a problem, push the power button in to restart your PC. I have done this several times without success. What I have found though is that if I have my glass mouse powered on or my touch pad powered on it crashs. I currently have a wired mouse attached and it seems to be working correctly. WiFi is working OK an…
