Hi, I just picked up an older Mac Mini (upgraded to Lion 300GB Drive and 2 gig memory). I am a long time PC user first Computer was a Radio Shack Color Computer followed by numerous DOS and Windows PCs. I have tried Linux from time to time but was unimpressed. I am pleasantly surprised by the speed and performance of this older Mac Mini. I got off to a poor start trying to set it up to look like a Windows PC. I am now trying to start thinking Like a MAC user. Wish me luck Between my wife and I we have one Windows XP machine 2 windows 7 machines 2 iPod touches And now a Mac Mini RSW

Greetings Long time Mac user, 1998. Service computers, camped in a data center in down town atlanta ga. Just got a mini server, today in fact. I have a mini mac PowerPC G4. Here is the question I would like to get an answer to. I want to migrate the applications from the G 4 mini to the server and then, and I know i am wasting resources. Use the server just for home, Quicken burn some Itunes for the hotrod and store my photos and other miss type of stuff. A. I think I need to boot the G 4 in the shared CD mode; then using the disk utility run migration, for my home folder and applications. I believe this will bring over the libraries also ...... is that correct …

Hi everyone, I'm not certain this is the right forum for me but I am really frustrated right now with Hotmail and customer support from Microsoft and I am looking for help or advice. I completely forgot my password to Hotmail (moving to South Korea form Canada...these things happen). I kept trying to access Hotmail with the result that I am now locked out. Hello everyone. So glad I found this site. I have had my mac mini for many years and I can honestly say I have never had any problems with it. I have never even used the start-up disc and I don't know where it is. I guess it is time to learn more about my mini because I am having trouble. I will post on the Help forum. I found this site by searching for an error I was getting on Windows XP. My problem was solved by reading the thread so I thought I'd join and say hello and thanks.

I am Bob Schwarz owner of MacForo as well as a network of other sites. I bought my first Mac about 10 years ago. Even though I owned a Mac I have always used a PC at work and at home. I bought a Mac Mini and since I bought it I find that I am using my PC's less and less. I created this forum for Mac Mini owners to discuss the Mac Mini. I hope to learn from the members here and then share what I have learned.

Well this year all my presents to relatives are Apple products. I am giving my wife a 64bit iPod Touch. Everyone else is getting some sort of iPod or iPhone extra. I have to say it will be a very Apple Christmas in my house.
