Can anyone help please I have a sony vaio PCG-Z1XSP laptop Windows xp pro Service pack 2 When i power on the laptop,the power light and device comes on but then shuts down after a few seconds, or stays on for a few minuets and then shuts down with no error messages or warnings. I think this is hardware related as if the device does manage to stay on for long enough, it boots to windows successfully without any problems. I`m suspecting that there is an issue relating to power. I Presume the power cable and the battery are ok as i have recently replaced the battery with a new one and when i charge the laptop with the device turned off, the battery charger light flashes, so this tells me the charger is ok. I have also removed the battery completely and tryed with the charger and still the device turns off Any help regarding this problem will be very much apreciated

You was right, the problem was mcafee related. I follwed the link i then deleted the extend.dat file, gave the pc a reboot and was able to gret into outlook. Thanks again

Im having problems opening outlook 2003. everytime i try to open outlook i get an SCANOTIK.dll error message. Can someone help?

have performed these steps and my pc seems to be running a lot better now. thanks for your help
