Start the Registry Editor Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ UnreadMail Double-click the value MessageExpiryDays in the right pane, and change the value to 0 (if MessageExpiryDays doesn't exist, create it by clicking Edit > New > DWORD Value) Close the registry editor and log off from Windows for the changes to take effect Hope that help :)

More information about the computer may be needed by others - Motherboard, CD/DVD r/rw make etc - but to me it sound like either the CD Drive has packed up or the power cable is loose or faulty. If you have a slight knowledge of the computer you could open the case up and perhaps try a different cable from thepower supply if there is one spare. Also, cd/dvd drives only cost about £20-£40 now.

Solution - don't try to play Halo, play a decent game. ^.^ Seriously though, did you run a DXDIAG as suggested? Can't remember what options are on the DXDIAG but perhaps there's a hardware acceleration option.

What's the little window that causes the minimize?
