Does any one know anything about my problem??? Thought other people may have had the same issue. Or is it just because I'm a newbie that no one has replied???

I'm a newbie so any help would be good. My tower is an Acer Aspire Sa90-LB7H, operating on Windows Vista Home Premium. My ViewSonic monitor is saying No signal then going straight to stand by. I've disconnected everything and reconnected but am getting no where. My keyboard isn't lighting up but the mouse is. Tried to go into safe mode by pressing F8 but still get no signal. Any advice would be great.
