I updated to win 10 seemed ok after november update i keep getting A bsog WITH MESSAGE Bad_Pool_Header pc restarts happens 2-6 times a day Driver booster sais all drivers up to date seems fine appart from the bsog bad pool headertends to happen with two or more programs open esp internet not emails tho. anyone know a fix would recovery // reset help thanks norman
  2. whenever i restart xp service pk3 i end up started but on the desktop is a open window C/program file/ Belkin containing icon belkin wireless network utility which has started. it seems to be the last thing on the start up program comes up last i then have to close the window the pc started normally how do i stop this window opening tried msconfig , startup folder also have a icon on desktop config.bin can i delete this thanks norman
  3. hi i have 2 desk top pcs 1 xp 1 vista wireless connection to belkin wirelessrouter usb wireless dongle belkin for both for 3 months similer problen connection stops no reason icon sais dissconnected try repair in taskbar connection icon sooner or later 3-25 mins suddenly reconnects again could be longer as somtimes leave it for 1+hrs isp is orange had a major fail in connectio last october BT finally found a internet cable, a underground idsn major rout cable, was flooded neighbour is a water man, he was called to pump out the underground gpo cable conduite, is how we know We were off 6 days orange sent bt open reach repair man he came and when we tolsd him the reason didnt belive till he wrang bt then was mad as 100 calls to make having no success we still have intermittent probs so weather the problem just a thought as so similer a problem everyone said there was no problem bt found the problen on 3ed check on line ask for a prolonged check on the line isp needs to ask BT to check may help ? norman

  8. hi i have a 160g barracuda drive unused. i bought a external drive case +power supply all pluged in.. connected to a usb2 port but the drive isnt showing in my computer or device manager. i can hear it power up and the green lighy on the ext case is on any idears to make it show many thanks norman

  10. xp slows down to a crawl 15 min after starting on internet firewall/antivirus = bitdefender total security 20009 av anti rootkit sais no root kit bit def no viruses or malware when on the internet pages freeze with the dumbell "pc working hourglass symble"only way out "ctrl+alt+delete" but when pressed opens mutliple start manager programs and pc crawls slower till they can be closed. any help please

  14. the pc is always v slow and when i try ti install a program i cannot install the installer works to the end then message apears saying cannot place registry key as no room and rolls back . any help v welcome Email address removed for your protection; RandyL thanks to anyone for help
  15. thanks for help slightly better starts to burn then nero aborts saying "could not pewrform end track" cd burner xp pro3 also has the same problem starts but cant compleat thanks norman would it be drivers or what else?
