thanx all i think im gona have to buy the acer disk i h8t haven to pay for something i should have got in the box in the first place. if any one can think of anything else that mite save me from parting with all my cash let me know or if some one has the disk for a (Acer Aspire one D250-0br) and staying near Cornwall UK id appreciate the help thanx all

hello jelly bean thanx for your reply 1. yes i used an external cd/dvd drive to do this 2. i have been told this by my m8t so looking in to buying a new cd & it is a retail cd 3.(recovery disks) it was new when i got it from argos. but it never came with any disks it was all preloaded. acer looking for £50 for the disk. 4. id like to use the copy of window that is on the acer's hdd as its got all drivers and stuff preloaded. but all i get is the missing file message and the optiton of f2 &f12 the alt f10 no longer works to get in to acer recovery where can i find the system32 ntoskrnl .exe. file and how can i get it back on.

hello all plz help me fix my kids netbook ok here goes she was useing it all the time and one day it just froze i tryed to restart it and up popet this black screen windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: <windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe. please re-install a copy of the above file. ok i know the windows that cane with the net book was pre installed and it a partition on the hdd so i tried to restore it back to factory setting and tried to restart it again but the same message came back up. since then iv tried installing my copy of xp on it so i formatted the big part of the hdd not the little partition and installed my copy on the big side but it stopped the install after about 20min my copy of xp is very old and has some scratches on it so i blame this for it stopping. so iv tried getting back in to the acer restore screen and all im still getting is the system32 message again iv tried a new hdd in it but my copy of xp is no good and keeps stopping half way how can i get this system32 file back on to the net book i have no usb fash pen? can i use my digital cam or sd card for this??? hope you can help me regards mad_ass_ali
