  1. Great thanks, ordered 2x4gb Corsair xsm3 1600mhz.
  2. Think im struggling to get across what I actually mean, will try again. Basically I want to know if ddr3 1600mhz memory can work on a motherboard that only supports upto 1333mhz unless its overclock then it will support 1600mhz but I dont want to overclock it, I just want to be able to run the 1600mhz memory at 1333mhz with no issues until I get a i7 cpu and new motherboard next yr. When i've looked on custom build PC's i.e pcspecialist and have a quad 2 core cpu in the make up the maximum memory I can seem to have with a Quadcore is ddr3 1333mhz. Also when i've viewed ddr3 1600mhz on some online shops it mentions i3, i5 and i7 cpu's. So is ddr3 1333mhz memory different to 1600mhz memory and therefore ddr3 1600mhz memory cannot be used with a Quad 2 core q9650 cpu? Or can I just run the ddr3 1600mhz memory at 1333mhz lower than its default speed with no problems? Thanks
  3. Hi, im interested in this motherboard: ASUS P5P43TD iP43 Socket 775 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard - Rusmart - Leading PC Component but I need to know if I can buy ddr3 1600mhz memory Corsair XMS3 memory - 8 GB ( 4 x 2 GB ) - DIMM 240-pin - DDR3 for it even if I dont want to overclock it to 1600mhz and just run it at 1333mhz with no issues? I just want this motherboard and memory for a short term upgrade so I want to get 1600mhz memory rather than 1333mhz memory so I can use it in a future i7 cpu and mobo upgrade. Any help is much appreciated thanks.
