I have the full version of XP but I thought the issue was the technical feasibility of the repair procedure not a EULA problem.

Hi I currently have a recently dead computer so I am going to upgrade. Currently the Windows XP was running on a 478 board with a Pentium 4 processor. I would like to upgrade to a 775 board and an Intel Dual processor. Thing is I need to keep my existing XP boot HDD as I have so much software installed that I could not install again due to lost registration details etc. A clean install is not possible. Question is if I run my original XP installation cd-rom and opt for "repair" will this work?
